They trade some punts. Bandys pins them on the 9. Botched trick play is fumbled for a scoop and score Bandys. XP good. 20-13 Saint. 8:27 remaining.
Bandys receivers can catch well. Not bad after the catch. They're driving, under 2 minutes. Ball on 28
Final 28 zip EB. Not exactly a knock you backwards 4 TDs scored but it was the first game pf season. Maybe 4 pass plays the whole game for EB but they didn’t really need to pass. Next week I hope they got a passing plan on table. Be way more athletes walking on the field in red jerseys so I hope the Cavs are ready. The Patton game is usually a warm up for them anyway

Bandys made too many mistakes to remain competitive. They have to clean it up or they'll be bottom 2 in the conference. This was a very winable game for them.

Bandys West Caldwell and Newton Conover will be the bottom 3. Bunker Hill is still a mystery til next week
South Point 28 Lincolnton 13, not a bad game. Both teams hit each other really hard. SP's long sustained drives kept our defense on the field so much. As far as Lincolnton, I think they're better this year and on the way back to being a decent team, and I say that with caution since I've had to eat my words a couple of times over the past several years, saying that. I believe our fans see it that way, too, because they were friendly with each other and not snippy. I'm pretty good at gauging how they feel. I can even tell it in their expressions. When they're expecting a really bad year they have this expression like they all just took a big drink of quinine (I don't mean the ladies, nobody's wife, d@mnit, as I had a couple of in-person comments on my previous posts, tonight). I Could go into why I see it that way (why they might field a pretty fair team) but it would bore you. I'm hoping you can see for yourselves.

Lincolnton gets to 1-1 next week. They should roll against the young knights
North comes here, next week, and they'll probably roll in with a nasty attitude since they got plowed (pun intended) over by West Lincoln. I do hope we can rise to the occasion. Help Lord !
CVE, thanks for the encouragement. I do hope you're right. We are the cellar dwellers of Lincoln County. Seems like it's been ages since we beat anyone from our county.
Do you believe st stephens could possibly finish in the middle of the pack behind hickory Statesville and East Lincoln? And sneak into the playoffs?
I guess I expected better from NL being their JV last year was supposedly steller with a good QB. But might be a down year cause coach Bazzel brings out the best in these kids and West has just been playing on a differ level from what I understand and hear

I know this is a weird thing to say when maiden won 50-7. But I believe maiden really looked Rusty and out of sync last night. We really need to tighten up this week but the kids probably were looking ahead of Foard game to this week

Our defense was stifling…I would guess that Foard had negative yardage at half…maybe even start of 4th quarter.
Foard made a great drive at the end on our subs to punch it in before the clock expired. Heck…they even had us pulling for ‘em. 😉
That running clock to start the 2nd half really makes the game fly by! Have mercy.
Yes. Their QB is their athlete on offense. They need to run him some more earlier. He's got a talented arm...they rely heavily in screens...which isn't bad but that QB can stretch the field let em.
The defense played good but a decent offense will fair much better than Bandys. Make sure the middle is stopped up and let #21 go make plays. He's a heat seeking missle. The other backer #50 ain't bad either...maybe have them flip flop and keep 21 on the wide side of the field...he'll run anything down.
I know the Saint crowd was super excited with the AC vs Hick score coming in...and this first game has them believing. You give a decent team some hope and they play with a chip on your shoulder you got a real good chance.
Good start for Lowman with a win over his alma mater.
Just for the record…I did predict that St. Stephens would not go winless against the CVAC this fall. 😂😂😂

Very impressed with the Wolves holding their own against South Point. ..as I said….it appears…we’re all in trouble.

I’m taking Lincolnton over North Lincoln this week….just saying!
So what did North look like or have out there on the field? They do return a track star that turned on the afterburner last leg in that 4*100 this past spring to win 3A state in the event. Not sure what position he plays. Undefeated JV team last year also, therefore this is puzzling although JV wins from last year don’t always translate to varsity wins the next year
My friend, modesty is the foundation of good character, like you’ve got. We all know your Blue Devils are the best on the block, again, and maybe a title contender. We have to visit Maiden, this year. For us it would be a moral victory to stay in the game.
Looks like st Stephen's goes no worse than 4-6 possibly 5-5 depending on the North Lincoln game. Would like to see how close they keep it with Bunker Hill

I see another Robinson in the backfield too…playing QB. I’ll assume that he is a younger brother to the stud that graduated last year.
