I believe Maiden is an East Surry like team with the talent they have. However, I hope the game doesn't turn out like that game. This Maiden team also reminds me of 2016 Lincolnton with a better defense.

Looks good! I was impressed with the margin of victory compared to the regular season game. You always want to see improvement as the season progresses.
Loved Roses growing up. Fayetteville also has one still thriving.

This should be a very good game. I think this game is pretty even but I am going to lean Rams by 3-7 points due to home field advantage. It would not be a shocker if the Blue Devils pull a tight one out in the end.
Run only teams almost never beat Reidsville. But pass only teams historically win in low 30s kind of games So this game worries me just because of the unknown. But I will say this again. If Al Lee comes to play and trust his receivers and don’t take sacks likes he been doing when scrambling out we will win.
He lacks confidence in his passes he won't throw unless receiver has major separation

Better to give receiver a chance than to take a sack. He threaded a couple needles early on last game with a back shoulder fade on 4th and long but then when rolling right he had chances to lay it out to Flippen and just wouldn’t pull the trigger.
Idk, coaches may have been telling him not to force anything but usually if he doesn't let it go within 3-4 seconds he never will. At that point he needs to just decide to get what he can on the ground.
Yea but he is not a runner. He has the ability but doesn’t trust it. Im an Al Lee believer. Just whatever demons show up he has to get rid of them quick. Im sure Maiden has plenty of demons to throw at him . This game could be like the east surry game or the Lincolnton game in 2016. They had that beast receiver and we shut him out and their team for most part.
He's our best yes...but 3 others can catch no problem and 2 can stretch you deep. Then Gibbs out of the backfield is also something you can't forget
If he's not going to pass it then that makes him a runner by default whether he's good at it or not so at that point it's nut up and go north and hold onto the ball imo. I think more East Surry than Lincolnton for this game.

We have three receivers that by no means.are slow all 6'2 or taller and can jump out of the stadium.A good position receiver that has great hands. A defensive end that I think is leaning towards going to Duke but has other division one offers. A line that doesn't mind being physical on both sides of the ball. And if it going to compare us to east Surry I'd say we are faster and more athletic then they are.
Not this version of East surry. the version of East Surry with Boaz, Gosnells etc. Its a compliment that was a beast East Surry team that beat reidsville in 2019.

That East Surry team was unstoppable. I saw them destroy Tarboro. Probably the best passing offense I’ve seen since Chris Leak and Independence. D1 players everywhere.
I completely agree, I was in attendance for the ES/Tarboro game. They would've beaten my NE Eagles bad. That was one fun team to watch
Long range forecast doesn't look promising for this game. 58% chance of rain for both Friday and Saturday. Monday looks fine but I would assume that's out because the winning team would have to turn around and play on that Friday. I would hate to see the weather become a factor in this game.
