Maiden by 20 plus..but I think Polk plays solid at first
BHHS by 10 in a good game that really could go either way but I see BHHS pulling it out
Lincolnton by 4...I can see this game going either way and wouldn't be surprised if Randleman really lays it to them.
WL...I want to say H but I think WL may be too much up front for H this year. Plus, not sure those small DB's want anything to do with WL RB...Hendersonvill can/will give them trouble through the air and with speed but to much damage on the ground....

Polk County at Maiden: By the looks of the Wolverines schedule they could be a little pesky for the Blue Devils who might come out flat after their win over Newton-Conover. Maiden eventually picks up the pace and wins by 21.

East Davidson at Bunker Hill: If the Bears can play with Maiden I believe they could play with the other top ten teams. BH by 28.

Lincolnton at Randleman: Siri, says Randleman is 123 miles from here. Don't know much about them other than TV highlights on YouTube, along with stats on MaxPreps and what I could gather from posters over that way. They look noticeably bigger than us on the line along with a large receiver named Goldston and a left handed quarterback who connects with him nicely. They played Eastern Randolph, a really good team, last Friday. The impression I got from the numbers is that even though the game wasn't in doubt (in Eastern Randolph's favor) Randleman didn't just lay down. They're also at home. This one has the potential of being a pretty good game. Somehow I feel like we find a way to win. Maybe the Kidd12 curse works in football as well as baseball, I hope. Wolves by 6.

West Lincoln at Hendersonville: What concerns me about the Rebels is their pass defense. Newton-Conover burned them several times on the pass and a couple of them appeared to be the Hail Mary types. If West can limit the Bearcats air game they might could win this one. Both are physical teams. West by 7

I’m taking Maiden over Polk County.
Polk has played some tough teams this year….so they’ll be ready to face the blue devils. That!….and having a great football program and a great Coach. I think this will be a very entertaining game to watch. In fact…..I’d call it a fantastic 1st round game and a great test for Maiden. I’m betting a good game is gonna break out because Mr. Angus is gonna bring it!

I’m taking Bunker Hill over East Davidson.
This is a rematch from last year that the Bears won 21-7. I don’t think the score will be this close as Bunker Hill has greatly improved from last year.

I’ll take Lincolnton over Randleman.
This game will be a thriller. Lincolnton had 3 games decided by 1 point this year….so they’re very experienced when things get tight. I haven’t seen Randleman play….but they gave Eastern Randolph a good game similar to what Walkertown did…who I have watched versus Reidsville. I think Randleman is a little better than most in our area think because Walkertown really impressed me. However….I still believe the Wolves are gonna get it done.

Have mercy….Johnny’s at the Bearcats…whew! This is a humdinger! Wishing I could watch it! I’m going with West Lincoln because I think they’re hungrier. This is a statement game for their program….beating Hendersonville will mean EVERYTHING to them and they’ll be extra fired up to make sure everyone else knows it! I expect this game to be high scoring and similar to the game West Lincoln had with Lincolnton last week.

Truly….this is 4 really good games for our conference to use as a guage on how good our conference is….I can’t wait to see how we fare.

I ll take Maiden by a score. People are unestimating how good Polk County is if Maiden doesn't play like they have the past 2 weeks Maiden will be one and done.

I'll take Lincolnton by 7 their offense played really well vs West Lincoln. Ill take the Wolves by a score. Randleman is not as good as West Lincoln.

Hendersonville by 14 the Rebels can not defend a pass.

Bunker Hill by 14. I like the bears to get to the sweet 16 this season

Though East Davidson beat Thomasville last year, and lost to us this year, I think East is better than last year. Can be very physical and you’d better put a spy on that quarterback. Shifty and can make you pay. Our best players were hobbling badly last year, or it wouldn’t have been close. They battled hard this year and never gave up.

Polk has played a very tough schedule with Christ School, West Henderson, Hendersonville and Chase, it wouldn't shock me at all to see them hang tough. They're a pretty damn good team.

Im taking a gamble on this one and this will prob be only and last time in playoffs I pick straight CVAC. So put me down for straight CVAC teams.

Don’t know anything bout the outside teams other than what y’all show on record W and L They’re competition level during there season also plays a factor. I seen a Lake Norman team years ago came to South Caldwell with only 4 wins and dang near beat South.

No not sandbagging this time, I just think west is to strong. I’m not sure how we’ll do but we get absolutely no respect from the eastern posters for the most part. I think for an eastern team to win it’s going to have to be one that’s not one dimensional. I think our Eagles are going to to give a hard reality check to many in round 2. Thanks for the love you’ve shown, it’s usually attacks coming from all sides with the exception of my Maiden Blue Devil friends and Chopper. Good post on the Clinton thread as well, James Davis and I are friends outside these forums and he’s as hardcore NE as you can come.

No designed runs for him that I know of. Any yardage made by scrambling is negated by sack yardage. Stats say -87 yards haha 😄

He's actually scrambled more the past few games. Got a few 1st downs against Newton I believe of 5 or 6 yards. He's definitely a pocket passer...good in the pocket movement. Hopefully he finds his legs for the playoffs.

Same team really….different QB…and a couple new faces….but essentially the same team.

…..can’t wait to see Polk!….every game with Polk and Maiden in it….has been fun to watch.

Really impressed with Polk from what I've seen with your offense...I believe my Blue Devils win due to defense, we'll have a few more stops. But this should be a great game and closer than people think.

I was at Maiden in the early 2000s and was a part of the Southern Foothills with ya'll and Hendersonville...the 2004 game was one of the best my dad has said he's ever seen.

I believe our offense is better than last year, defense not as good as last year initially...but we've picked it up and gotten a very key player back who has been out all year. We really clamped Newton down and had a complete effort.

We are coming back very soon. We had a blast over there and everyone treated us good. Football over there is so much better than over here in the east. Everyone comes out and the communities get behind their respective teams. In our conference Edenton Holmes has the best fans imo, their community really gets involved. Now Edenton is only a town of roughly 5k people wherein Elizabeth City is hovering around 20k so that probably makes a difference somewhat. I rarely post on your threads but I do frequent them and try to keep up with everything.
