I'm a little surprised to have read that North Lincoln opted out of the 3A playoffs

Where is your go to for status so quickly? MaxPreps? Is it a paywall? Anyways, I went to MaxPreps and took a look at Randleman's leaders. Not surprisingly they have a better overall numbers with their record. It looks like they have a good RB, WR and the QB appears to be accurate.
I remember one year I was on JV and I think we finished with about 14-18 or so players for the final game. This was a long time ago so I don't really remember the exact amount. It wasn't injuries. The studs got moved up. Some players quit and then the rest of us finished the season. Anyways, I stayed on the field except for KO return and Punt Team. Meaning I was the one who always got yelled at because we had just given up a score or failed to score.
Facebook posts I have seen are throwing it on Bazzle... it is Facebook though.
We could have gotten a comparison between East Lincoln and Kings Mountain had they played especially since North had just got done playing East.
This could be a factor with all the kids who play for LMS and then wind up in Pumpkin Center for high school.
Going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Could see a few migrate back over.

It baffled me how they didn’t do as good this year with all the seniors and speed and Bazzel coaching. Not looking good for next year either from losing all those seniors. JVs done their thing this year and only lost to Hickory though but how many times have we gaged “next year” off JVs just to be wrong
I figure 2024 North will have a good season cause that same JV team of this year coming together. Next year not good cause the soph and jrs stepping up will be learning and adjusting.
I may take a lot of slack for this but here it is bazzel is overrated. He's only successful when he has the perfect players for his system. He cannot work around not having the perfect players. Years and years ago when he first took over Newton he was on the verge of being fired because of his offensive system and not being successful at it. I will give him credit on his weight training program it is a plus top notch.
Well you do remember him going to Alexander Central. A school that full of athletes over half the time but there hit miss too but more hit than miss. He didn’t do nothing with them and that had my head scratching. I don’t know the guy personally but he did win a ring at Newton. Had good players though and seems to been doing real good at North. Just not sure what happened this year. I dunno man

If that happened that would be hilarious, just because bazzel is the biggest crybaby over that. He will be kicking and screaming and jumping up like a 2 year old. He has a history or crying to school boards and other organizations. Hell I was told he's one of the biggest reasons we don't have turf. We had private funding for it, he went screaming and kicking it wasn't fair if we got turf
Ironic that North is the first school in the county to have turf. A big stink was made over it, and now all 4 will have turf.
I'll tell you what screwed up also hickory City schools borrowed money from Catawba County schools to get turf at hickory high School yet us Catawba County schools aren't getting turf

I believe if we load the box and force them to pass we'll run away in this one. A quick strike big play offense will get us ahead early and it'll be hard for Polk to catch up. We have to avoid Polk controlling the clock and keeping our offense off the field, and we have to avoid the simple mistakes that forces us into 3 and out possessions. We have a weaker special teams that has been known to allow good field position and leave points off the board, but with how good our defense has played the last few weeks since having Hall back it hasn't hurt us, yet. Polk will get their yards, we have to avoid giving them their points. My analytics tell me we'll win 41-21 give or take...my heart says it'll be a 42-14 style game.

Over all this is a pretty accurate the only thing that you have really wrong is Madien not scoring in the 4th ... I’m telling you the wolverines are worn out and it’s been extremely hard to stop teams or score points in the 4th and even the 3rd against good teams. Carful with stacking the box cause Tony #1 is a good WR ( he’s never been talked about but he’s nice) If Polk wasn’t playing every player both ways they would make some noise !!!

We're fortunate enough to have a secondary that allows us to stack the box when needed. We'll play on an island if need be. Will your WR get his yards? Yes, I have no doubt.
And I say no scoring in the 4th because we typically use 2nd string in the 4th when ahead. Hopefully we're ahead enough to do that.
He's 13th in the state receiving...not to be taken lightly.
You know regardless of the outcome I’m really proud of this group of wolverines!!! Gettting the opportunity to watch Angus Weaver play football for the last 4 years has been a real treat. He’s a special players guys. This man has made some of the most jaw dropping plays in his high school career running the ball and then turning around and being a beast on defense. He’s the definition of true IRON MAN FOOTBALL PLAYER !!!
I think I read that he holds 5 Polk County records? That true?
I first met Angus when he was 4. I coached for the Rutherford Raiders and he played for Polks youth league and I will tell you we prepared for his tail from the time he started playing 😂
Hendersonville and Polk had good teams in 03 and 04
I'm glad we are playing at home but honestly Polk county is a beautiful place to play. A football field sitting in a mountain surrounding.
