Crest/Forestview scrimmage

Crest looked pretty good against Forestview today. Offense is way ahead of same time last year. Defense is solid again. Pleased to see the 9th grade kicker make a FG and s couple XP's.
FV friend of mine said that he was unimpressed with the BullChargers. Said that they were not nearly the team they saw last year. Cleveland County probably just played close to the vest like SP did on Tuesday, but that is what was said. Ready for the games to begin.

Username "doesitreallymatter" but concerned over hear vs here sounds a bit schizophrenic. To most it would not matter but a few will lose their (but not there) minds.
First off, if your friend is a Forestview fan, I wouldn't trust his judgment on a pumpkin seed spitting team. The last time we saw them they SUCKED! Seven days and you'll be impressed and you can go back and tell him about it.
Interesting that you think a Forestview fan knows nothing about football. My take on the scrimmage is Crest is good and Forestview has more work to do.
Crest looked good. They can run with Harbison all day and throw screens to him and get big chunks. The passing game had some big plays and some misses. If the passing game is better than last season, then they will only need to make Harbison the workhorse for the tight games and playoffs. Very patient runner.
FV looked better than I expected. Moe Neal was hemmed up several times, but he also got some big gains when it looked like nothing was there. Read option looked good as it looked like all 11 Chargers keyed on Neal and the QB got some yards.

Gazette indicated that FV only returned 3 offensive starters. One is Neal and another is a WR who is now the QB. Indicated that some of the DL starters from last year will have to go both ways.
Shelby looked spectacular against FV. Passing game is sharp to be this early in the year. Forestview looked terrible in this scrimmage. There are a couple of key FV players who have either not played or had very limited time in these scrimmages. Not sure if they are injured or just holding them back to evaluate other players.
Forestview apparently did what Crest did in their scrimmage with AC Reynolds by holding their first and second unit players out of their scrimmage.
Does anyone expect FV to be real good this year? I thought it was all agreed upon that they are a 1, maybe 2 games over .500 team? I havn't looked at their schedule....unless they have thrown on a couple non conference patsies- that's what I expected. No? Not saying Shelby stinks - but FV isn't a legit contender if we're talking openly here.

But yet, left their best player in Moe Neal in the lineup to take the abuse that he did. Dax Hollifield made Neal his chick.
Lions are going to be a tough out this year. Neal will get his, but expect FV will take a step back.
From what I have heard, one FV D Lineman sat out the scrimmages with an injury, and the other D Tackle is out all season with an injury. One will be back Friday for the opener and may be going both ways. On the "Shelby is for Real" thread on the 2A board, RealJaguar01 noted that there were only 9 players with lineman numbers on the FV team. FV has some good pieces - but I don't know about the whole team.
