Norfolk State head coach and former Crest alum Coach Dawson Odums stated when he took the Norfolk State job that he wanted to recruit Charlotte metro and especially Cleveland County really hard. Coach Dawson is a great guy. I always knew of him from his Crest Charger days but the first time that I actually met him he was coaching at Southern University. We talked for about 90mins about Cleveland and Gaston County football talent.
