Clinton 2016 schedule

Just for fun let's compare stats between Ryheem and NCPreps media darling Zamir White

Skinner:
2014: 165 carries 2043 yards 12.4 ypc 145.9 ypg 26TDs Longest run 77 yards
7 receptions 112 yards 1 TD

2015: 203 carries 2173 yards 10.7 ypc 155.2 ypg 23 TDs Longest run 81 yard
7 receptions 107 yards 2 TDs

White:
2014: 155 carries 1231 yards 7.9 ypc 94.7 ypg 18 TDs Longest run 61 yards

most skeptics and 4A posters will say Skinner is going against lesser competition which is true one playing for a 4A team and going against 4A competition week in and out.......but White also runs behind a 4A sized offensive line.....Scotland runs a spread offense so defense can't really key in on the run for fear of the pass....Clinton's offense 98% of the time the defense knows we are running the ball so Ryheem sees 8-10 men in the box where the offense is all more open to White at Scotland......Watched the highlights on Zamir he is the real deal and deserves all the attention but its still a head scratcher why we don't hear more about big name schools going after Skinner....

Maybe now that he has qualified academically, more schools will be making their way to Clinton. I saw Zamir White play last year when Scotland came up to Cary. You are correct, he is the real deal....good size and speed. Ryheem will get more attention this year

I don't buy the 2A vs 4A competition. It's all relative. Small school competition didn't seem to have any effect on Clinton's NFL running backs Jarius McPhail, Leonard Henry, or Willie Parker nor Tarboros Todd Gurly. In fact they were probably better all round players because they played defense as well. Skinners the real deal!

I understand that of course but with him being academically egilible now you would expect at least one offer coming in at least from smaller schools.......I'm sure things will start to pick up once the season gets rolling
 
Sometime this weekend I'll be creating a Facebook page dictated to all things Clinton football once I get it up anyone who wants to add the page just message me your FB URL and I'll add you........just going to post things like the schedule, score updates when I'm at the games or listening to them,probably share some the guys hudl highlights those awesome YouTube videos Billy Lewis shoots,pictures etc etc

Have not heard anything usually if it was a midnight practice tonight word would of gotten out by now.....been doing some looking around best bet is either early tomorrow morning or late tomorrow afternoon....... Sampson Independent kills me sometimes with all the hype around Clinton they choose to do a story on Union lol.....I understand it's all Sampson County but geez maybe we will get some press after the first day of practice

Oh and isn't that picture of the stadium plaque missing another Eastern title date? 2014 right? Must be an old picture cause plaque is updated at stadium although in the wrong shade of yellow or gold. That's weird to.

I just thought of something....why not get one of those huge boards that can be posted somewhere in the stadium listing the years of conference, regional and state titles?

That would be cool, I like the large plaque on top of the pressbox facing the visiting stands as a reminder of our tradition and success, I don't like how the color of the '14 that was added after that year doesn't match the others, looks cheap and bad. Wish we would fix that, other than that if we keep winning, we made need another one strategically placed elsewhere.

Either put the board at the entrance of the stadium or possibly beside the scoreboard. If I ever win the Lottery, I would happily invest in switching the field from natural grass to field turf. Get at least 10 years of maintenance-free care.
 
Win the lottery replace the old plaque with an electronic screen of some sort running from side to side above the press box

I would definitely renovate the entire stadium. Replace the home stands with aluminum stands(ADA compliant), get a scoreboard on both ends of the field with videoboards, concession stand for the visitors' side, new uniforms for the team with home and away helmets, renovate the fieldhouse and replace the track with rubber instead of asphalt.

Sad....well you can't make a kid play if his heart ain't in it....remember Rayquan Faison was the same way but look.how it turned out for him just don't understand why kids think that way........we can still split Prentice out for passes but I think eventually teams will catch on to that...well maybe another WR will emerge
 
More sad news found out a former team mate and class mate of mine passed away Matthew Fulton played OL for Clinton's 2005 State Championship and 2006 team.....keep his family in your prayers
 
Just got home watched about a hour of practice light rain not too heavy and it felt pretty good out not to hot......counted about 60-65 kids out there not sure how many were JV and Varsity......posting some pics and video from what I saw later on the Dark Horse FB page
