KM needs a legit quarterback for that shot to be legitimate. They didn’t have a good one the last two years. That’s not all you need of course but that’s one of, if not the biggest pieces.
Pipeline from Gaston County has an arm that is open to Crest. Big OL from Ashbrook is at or on the way to Crest right now if what I was told is correct

Not 19. None of us care about any title Shelby won when they couldn't even win their own County. You raked over the 2a with 3a numbers and never one time begged to play up like Huss did because no one in charge over there has any nuts. That's so weak. Just like BF2's pregame speeches.

So the Gaston County players are driving right by KM and Shelby to go to Crust? I did hear the young mounties have a QB on their radar that's suppose to be moving in. It is a big need to go with all those skill players. Why would they do that when they could stop in at KM to play on turf and both Shelby and KM have a million dollar field house? I bet KM gets their fair share.
I did hear Crust is in the early stages of building an indoor practice facility/locker room. I'll believe that when I see it. They need to start on an outdated press box that was built in the 60s before someone falls thru the floor. That press box is embarrassing the one at Burns.

Y’all just keep hammering on the Crusties. They enjoy it. It makes em feel relevant. They will win some games this year for sure. EG,SC & HH after that all bets are off. They seem to relish so in what they got coming in. We shall see. Has anyone seen em play. Big linemen don’t necessarily mean good linemen. Speed don’t mean you can catch the ball. If they don’t find a kicker they will lose some games that might have won. Can’t wait till August.

KM has a young qb who is going to be really good once he gets a couple of games under his belt. He started on jv and was the backup to the varsity starter. He is young and still growing but he throws a beautiful ball. He will only be a sophomore next year. KM’s biggest concern will be coaching staff losses and additions. Losing legitimate coaches hurt especially somewhere like KM where local politics are always involved in the football program behind the scenes.

Rulz, love ya buddy, But Shelby been nowhere close to 3a numbers in years, not school wise, it maybe sideline wise.
Burns is closer to 3a then Shelby. We have been 810 and under last 10 years.
Only way u can beg to slide up is be within certain number closer to upper class.
Belive me Shelby coaches would have loved to went up then been in this conference.
Let alone on how sorry the opponents are ,Shelby staff knew the money on gate etc lost.

One would have to be very dissatisfied with the veteran coaching staff at KM this year. No way they should've been ahnilated by EL. KM had the better roster and change may be needed at KM. No one can tell me KM didn't have the young mounties to win a state championship the past several years. I've done nothing but brag on that coaching staff only to be disappointed time and time again. Something is wrong. It helps me understand why Gaston county players are starting to by pass down the road. But still the young mounties will contend yet again for a BSC championship with crust and SP.
And yeah I know the young QB can play but hearing rumors another team in 5he county is after him. It doesn't help with the rumor of another one coming in tho.

With all that said ^^^trying not to hate on KM coaching. Lloyd is and has been one of the best OCs in the area for quite a while. Ware and Barnes were good ones just had better athletes. The word from Crest is Sosebee is an offensive genius but we'll see if it turns out the same as KM and Lloyd for years and years with defensive coaching under achieving. Not saying Crest d3febse under achieved because they were so young. We'll see.
We deserve all the slander that our county rivals throw our way because we deserve it. Yes it seems like KM football never learn anything from past coaching mistakes. We bring back retread coaches who were not good coaches in their previous stints in KM, coaches on offense want to run the defense in big games, we do not coach to improve throughout the season when we are having good seasons, we always try to keep certain guys on the field even if another kid is obviously better, and last the coaches seem to get caught up more in the hype of having a good team than the players. The energy of the sideline changed once the regular season was over. Some of the coaches who helped you get where you were appeared from my vantage point not to have much say once the game started. I thought we had turned a corner and got away from the old KM way of doing things but I guess not. But hey at least the coaches can brag on their regular season “champs” t-shirts….
Always amazes me that Shelby has 800 or so kids and 100 of them will be on sidelines on Friday nights.
Nothing will change at KM until money bags quits donating millions , once the money dries up then changes will be made. I mean money bags gives millions the last 5 years and no title. Why change
I don’t think someone giving money is the issue. KM has always been able to generate funds for its athletic programs. We can’t get out of our own way at times with that KM political mindset.
That’s what I mean by 3A numbers. Not the school. The football team.
That was in 2018 in the middle of an alignment period. A few other schools did it too. We were at 2A numbers and would have moved down anyway in 2021. It wasn’t just a football decision. Not to open that can of worms but it didn’t help that we had a couple players who decided to become Golden Lions in 2017. I respected their decisions. It was what it was. If we had stayed 3A for two more years we could’ve had to deal with Charlotte Catholic. Nothing is guaranteed.

Bad part is NCHSA don't go off football numbers, it's by the school.
Most of fans want back in 3a belive me, maybe one day, but I see us all becoming 1 school in county.before we make 3a numbers again...
Sadly I think you are correct. I don’t know if we’ll be alive to see it but there will be a day when it’s one school or at the most two schools in the county.
Truthfully I’m just busting balls. But it’s easy for Bob to yell 19 when Shelby had more football players than Crest and beating up on 2A teams that don’t.

I'm not a crust hater like SP 78 guess I've been listening to him chirp too much.
It's hard to win a state championship but KM had the talent to do it. I don't think they choked it away this past year. However, they did get flat out, out coached by Beam and company. Still not sure about the defense KM was running in that game. That was a head scratcher for sure.
Hoping the crusties build a Dallas Southfork Ranch over there with Jock and JR Ewing. That place is rocking right now. That's good for Cleveland County same as Two Kings Casino is for KM. KM will continue to grow in the future and only make resources more available for all KM athletics.
All county FB teams are on the up since the Marlboro Man took over at Burns. Just hope he doesn't burn a hole in that neck tie running down the bank with fire works blasting. Man it makes for some good CC FB to see all those red necks happy in Lawndale that's been treated like red headed step children for years. I've never seen so many toothless smiles thanks to the liver mush man. They don't feel so left out after snagging a player or three here and there.
I'll end by saying Crest will raise more money than points against Gaffney but good luck ill definitely be pulling for the Chargers it that one.

Choking is jus what we say to KM fans to get under their skin. Just like all this stuff with Shelby. fans. Heck I know most of them and the ones I do know are awesome people. They just pull for our mortal enemy so on here we do what we do.
There are many places that wish they had it like Cleveland County. It’d be hard to duplicate. We’re close knit and we have some of the best football going in NC. It breeds what it breeds. I drove by Shelby to go to Crest way back when. My dad is a Golden Lion and my mom is a Burns Bulldog. That’s how real it is here.
Gaffney is of no concern. If we get beat we’re supposed to. If we shock the world (highly unlikely) but should we then notice is sent. Either way we’ll raise 200 more thousand to advance in our goals.
The person over the horseshoe club is operating it like a business and it’s operating at peak capacity right now.
You either change or stay stuck where you’re at. Crest changed. Believe it or not it’ll force others to change or get smoked.

It's all good Rulz. We are here to share and enjoy some premium CC HS FB. This place CC is special and then you have the hated rivalries. I have close fan/coach friends from all four schools and have coached with many and officated games of many others. I pretty much root for all four schools except when one or the other is playing one of my favorites. I was born in RUFFTON CTY but moved to CC long ago. They are trying up that way to become FB schools but baseball and basketball will always be number one up there. It is what it is.

I just got home from rock hill (daughter plays for a travel volleyball team) and got to be back at 7:15 am.... I am thoroughly enjoying watching these girls play... Bulldogs, Chargers and Lions all on the same team and our 15 U team is pretty dagggum good.... GO CHAOS... Bedtime for the old man. .HA HA

I’ve followed high school football since I was in Jr High (now middle school) . I didn’t find NCPreps until a few years ago. I don’t know what it was like in the old days. I wish I did. Let a cruel lesson Shelby learned last year all to well and hopefully help the rest of you morons. It doesn't matter what you have coming back or what you think that team will play like. Don't get all excited cause you think you have the second coming in your new coach. Most all of us Shelby folks thought we were going to be loaded and yes even ole BF2 was coming off his 2nd state title in 3 years. You still have to play the games sometimes it's as good as think its going to be and sometimes you're not. Now everyone knows you are going to twist and manipulate everyones words to throw shadow on everyone else and hype how good you think you are going to be. Let's all see if it plays out like your blow hole says it will. Been a long time since you boys have won anything and yes you beat a bad Shelby team last year, but honestly all I saw was a very good QB and receiver. The rest wasn't any better that a bunch of other teams in the area. So learn from Shelby like you always have play the games first and then talk about how good you are. Then if you can't do that go grab your sister and a couple of mayo sammichs and head to the drive in for some good family entertainment on and off the screen.
