2A Championship Shelby vs Clinton

When the victorious DarkHorses enter Samson County, the will be picked up for escort by the Sampson County Sheriff's Dept.As they approach Clinton , Clinton PD will takeover the escort and will lead a caravan of supports as well as team through the Christmas decorated downtown Clinton all horns honking and lights flashing and on to the stadium where theu will see further decorations. That's what happened in 2005, I would expect nothing less Saturday evening. A grand occasion!
Championship weekend is finally here.
Good luck and praying for health and safety to both teams and fan bases as they travel to Winston-Salem.
Looking forward to a great game between two great programs and schools!
Let's support these student athletes as they've given it their all for the last 6 months, and for many, are playing their final game of their high school careers.

I plan on heading up to Wiston after worj today so i wont have to make to trek up there in the morning.....One last thought on the game Clinton seniors win or lose its the last time yall will suit up in the black and gold so leave it all on the field win lose or draw hold your heads up no one can take away what you have accomplished this season and it has been a pleasure watching this team from the first scrimmage against Lakewood to the game tomorrow...Shelby was expected to be back here....we have been doubted pretty much every step of the way it means more to us so nothing left to do but go out there and take it.....Pride and tradition...looking forward to a great game....safe travels to all making the trip...GO HORSES...FINISH!!!!!

We don't need any luck. You easterners are truly underestimating the power of Shelby. I seriously think some of y'all are feeling this way based on '97, but you all will become believers tomorrow. Believe that! You all are going to be surprised at the ease in which we beat Clinton, at least 2-3 tds. Get at me after the game.

I have not seen Shelby play this year. So I cannot intelligently comment on your team. And that's the difference between us. I would bet anything that you haven't seen Clinton play this year, but that didn't stop you from flapping your gums.
Every team that makes it this far is very good, so three touchdown predictions are silly.
I'm not saying Shelby can't win the game... but if Clinton shows up, your boys better strap it on tight.
Looks like WRH is walking away with the 1AA title.....and they say Clinton had no competition during the regular season

That was my exact reaction to some of the predictions that I've seen in Cilnton's favor, but yeah, I'm sticking to mine. Clinton's passing game is suspect, only passing to keep opposing defenses honest. We're hell against the run., so if you get behind early, it's over for you, because then, you're out your element, which is running the football. Clinton has about 600 yards passing on the season, so miss me with that, "We're not one dimensional" stuff. Shelby by 2-3 tds.

Well I find it funny that no one has been able to stop our one dimensional team. Yes, we lost to East Bladen in overtime, but they still did not stop our rushing attack(no disrespect to East).

been around high school football a long time. The DarkHorses now, in the past nor in the future being labled as "one dimensional" doesn't concern me one bit!

Who said that we're a passing team? We're a balanced team. Clinton will get to know the name, Chad Reid, soon enough. He's one of the best backs in all of a 2A.

Clinton's secondary is a strength seen a couple of spread passing teams and i only seen them get bruned once and that was on a trick play ...DBs are fast athletic play the ball very well
and with Jeff Sawvel former D coordinator now AD helping Coach Mark Fields with the defense adjustments im positive they will be ready for what ever Shelby throws at them....and if u dont know who Coach Sawvel is than you probably shouldnt be posting up here

Good luck to the Darkhorses today! Bring another title back to the Four County!!!! Thanks for the wake up call back in November. If Skinner is feed I see you guys being victorious. Clearly one of the best backs I've seen in high school ball in a long time. Kid is amazing and has the best coach in the state leading him.
Skinner had the one TD run (although he obviously stepped out of bounds as seen on the big screen) but the Shelby defense was all over him the rest of the way.
With the running game bottled up, Clinton was forced to pass and that wasn't the Dark Horses' game. Shelby pass rush was all over the QB and when he did get a pass off, the receivers didn't make the catches.
