plus absolutely terrible kick coverage...other than kicking x points...our special teams play is less than special........................
Our kicker has over 10 kicked in the end zone but I guess they were worried about a big return.
with good reason....I was screaming from the stands on that second half kickoff...I would have almost bet my life West was gonna onside kick...they did and they recovered and they scored a took a short time lead...............

I'm astounded that this was the score of that game. If that's the case our conference with East and North is a pretty damn good conference because I think we're average and so is West Stokes. Part of that might be fueled by my vitriol for the star chaser that left and went there to coach but. Is nobody on here worried about the defense of Reidsville? You guys got a rude damn awakening when somebody plays defense. West Stokes couldn't stop you but they're about as big as a defensive Juggernaut is McMichael is. Has this been the case most of the year I guess I need to go look. Could have just been an off night for Reidsville. Logan can get creative but screens? And the other traitorous got hurt? I mean they got some fat boys up front but most of them are just fat ? Little church might need to be start looking at some defensive staff. Put your best dudes on defense. You ain't going to win it like this.
Yes but also note that all conference champions will be seeded first, based on their RPI. So West Stokes won't be 5th, more like 11th/12th. I don't remember off top of my head how many conferences there are.
Hopefully East Surry or North Surry will stay in the playoffs long enough to make a trip to Reidsville and see their offense.
Oh I'm sure they will. I don't think there's any problem with reidsville's offense. It's their offensive defense.
I haven't seen Monroe play they may be able to matchup better against Reidsville.
You werent a fan of small LBs being the 4th man on the DL?
I believe Reidsville's offense is a problem for all of 2A. Time will tell. They are still, the team to beat. Spread the field Rams. Roll !

Most snaps all year long have been high. You would think either the coaching staff of the center would figure out their problem and correct it. But, so far no such progress.
A few years later when we interviewed Mark Barnes to replace the retiring Kelly Minyard as the Rams head coach I asked Mark about this play.
The senior running back who had the ball stripped had been injured for most of the year. Mark had promised him he would get him in the game before it was over. He got him in for the last series when all he had to do was take a knee and the game would end. He either did not get the message or ignored it resulting in the strip and the Rams win. Sometimes strange things happen in football games.
It would be a bigger problem if you didn't have a heck of an athlete at QB. On the snap over his head and the pass for touchdown not many high schoolers can pull that off.
The big problem is replacing Paul Widerman and Aidan Mansfield in the middle linebacker positions. I think we are going to have to move some people around and see if any other guys can fill the role better. Some things that can help is Kendre can play more defense, when he was in West didn't move the ball as much. Cobb could see a little more time on defense as well. But mainly we are going to have to make adjustements in the middle linebacker's. West Stokes did cause some issues to the basketball team last year and we were a natiloanlly ranked team.
Widerman is getting a little playing time as a freshman linebacker at Lafayette. I don't know about Mansfield's status at Ferrum.
Rams played better defensively in the 2nd half, where Harrison didnt play as much as he did 1st half for whatever reason. Lets also give credit to West Stokes who simply played tougher in the trenches and took advantage of defensive calls.
Absolutely, I said they were the best team we've played this year. They have a fantastic coach that could easily coach in the 4a ranks.
West Stokes has a highly recruited lineman and several others who were good in the trenches
Who is the highly recruited lineman and what are his offers?
I agree about the coach he really builds up his players and he puts his players in a position to win. Not going to win them all.
