Cherokee should be favored In the SMC. Murphy will be down after losing 3 starters from last year. I've heard robbinsville has 2 starters not playing this year. They are Concentrating on other sports. My pick is Cherokee to go undefeated in the SMC on the girls side

I wouldnt sleep on Xander (Rville),Ellis(Andrews),Weaver(Andrews) or Brown(Murphy) for possible boys POY..just my opinion

Andrews will have two kids that can potentially be players of the year. Weaver and Rattler. I'm hoping Weaver will get to start playing in a few weeks

Saw the story on wlos last night about the girls team letting the young lady be a coach for the night and donating all the gate and ticket sales to the family. That was awesome! Big shout out to the school and admin for doing that and prayers for the girl and her family.

That MHHS v RHS game was a much better game than the score indicated. Stayed a 1, 2, or 4 point game pretty much throughout. MHHS was up by 5 or 6 late and the Tigers had to foul. The Cougars did a great job of knocking down their FTs to close out the game. Good game, good atmosphere at Rosman. Look forward to the rematch in Burnsville!
