West of where , exactly? They teach geography much down in that neck of the woods? Do you think randleman is a WESTERN team?" St pauls is if I remember, near Fayettenam. Thats pretty damn east for a western team, wouldnt you say? Now the compass Stokes team you may have a point. Stokes is around Winston salem...a bracket filler obviously they usually send on those long early round road trips. As far as I am concerned any team located east of Charlotte belongs in the EASTERN bracket. in the 2a bracket both teams are Eastern teams Reidsville and WRH.

North Davidson is definitely WEST. Do your geography kid. And to here anyone else talk, West Stokes and Randleman are “considered” western teams. Each of those 3 are west of Greensboro. What else would you call them?

It use to be that around Greensboro was where the line was. East and West divide. I know in the 70's & 80's that's where it was. Jacksonville played Greensboro Page twice in the early 80's. Thats when and where B.A. got his start. J'ville lost the 1st game and won the second matchup in 1982. Back in those days the title game hosted by the schools themselves. East and West took turns hosting the title game. Those we're the good ole days.

Star, NC is considered the geographic center of N.C..

With Randleman being just slightly West of Star on any map, this would make ALL 3 teams I stated WEST of the N.C. midpoint. There’s your geography lesson of the day, sir. @WhoaMule

Hibriten Wins 27 to 16. Gee scores 3 times from 40+ yards. Then plays ball control to win the game. It is not if he scores it is when he scores. Getting 8-12 carries, you can bet he is in the endzone 3 times.

I just wanted to make a quick post and wish both teams good luck tomorrow in Chapel Hill.Enjoy the experience and remember how hard these young men and coaches have worked to get there.It is awesome that these two schools are undefeated and going for there first championship.

I think that you might wish this but the Witherspoon is fast and will not be caught from behind. If the pitch comes when he is running down hill and has a little green grass he will walk into the endzone. Shelby might have had one of the best defenses in the state and they could not run with him. I do not know anything about Duplin but I can tell you Hibriten is for real. They are big and physical and have no problem with 3 and 4 yard carries. All it takes is one time for them to pop a play for it to go 70. Ill be at the game and think it will be a great one.

Couple of things from an outsider's point of view:

First not since Mike Ditka stopped hawking Levitra has ED and football been linked more. :)

Second much to my surprise Randleman has been sent east every year since 2014. (Although this mule guy would have all but Charlotte/mountain teams be considered such, WOW).

Third good luck to both teams. Should be an excellent game between two groups who have had fine seasons.

Finally a special shoutout to HHS players, not because I care who wins SC game, but for effectively quieting the ridiculous posts of 72/98 what's his name.

Shelby scored on the 1st play of the game and cut Gee for a flip on his 1st run for negative yards. We may get beat but we won't fold!
 
Well here is my 2 cents, the last time I checked it will not be the adults out there playing, it will be two well deserving teams battling it out. Instead of getting on here bad mouthing each other we all should be congratulating each other for great seasons and most importantly the growth of all these young men and the strides they are making in life. Think about this for a moment, would you want your child to see everything that you say on here cause to me that is not being a good role model. These young men that will be on that gridiron will take this game with them for the rest of there lives so as adults parents friends lets make it special for both teams. So good luck to both teams. But i am supporting HHS. Go HHS

the problem is, one of these undefeated teams will have to lose. Its going to suck, for the kids, we as fans and parents well life will go on. the Winners will pound their chests for a bit, the losers will hurt for a bit. At the end of the day, we can all hope for a well played hard fought game with no injuries and the kids leaving it all on the field.

I Love the banter back and forth from you guys. Some of it is very funny! But I see something that I don't like. That is the number of people that question these teams as the best in 2AA. Both ED and HHS have had to hear EVERY YEAR "The best team always wins at crunch time" They both have had to hear "When it counts you can't get it done". They have heard this from the powerhouse programs EVERY YEAR! Well this year ED and HHS GOT IT DONE! and everyone else DID"NT ! So by the logic of the powers that be, it must be admitted that these are the best two teams in 2AA.

Now, with that out of the way. I hope ED rides them red panthers like a borrowed mule!! GO ED!!

If those schools are located east of charlotte, and say, Greensboro, I would call them what they are...EASTERN teams. To suggest otherwise is attempting to redefine compass points. Greensboro is not in the west either.
