Glenn put up some points on the Vikings last week. I'm on the fence about this one. It will be close, but I'm giving Reagan the nod.

Both teams came away with big wins in week 1, but I can't pick Walkertown in this one.

I expect Rockingham to be better than McMichael. They are big upfront. Eric Smith is a big strong kid. Several of their key guys didn't return this year. 35 7 Reidsville?

East Surry 6, Starmount 0

Just how good is this Davie team? West had 325 yards of offense last week but only 12 points. Defense only gave up 3 first downs and 1 pass completion against Mooresville, but their offense is not as explosive as Davie. These two teams always play close games no matter who is favored. My experience following West Rowan the past 7 years is that the most of the time the favorite does not when this battle.
West is not deep or big this year but they are physical. What say you all?

A good quarterback who's jersey is sqeeky clean on channel 3 football Friday night after game tells me he has a good offensive line, the comets will have theit hands full this week slowing down Sun valleys high power passing game but on the same token I think sun Valley has some trouble slowing down the comets ground game, not turning the ball over will be the key to the comets success. Watch out for my spoiler pick of the week

Panthers hit the road to battle the Bulldogs!

Murphy gets the opening KO & gets 1st down. Bulldogs get a great roll on the punt. Franklin takes over on the 16yd line after a couple 1st downs the Panthers bust a 63 yd run up the gut. 7-0 Panthers 1Q.

Lost the Panther radio feed but the score is 14-0 Panthers 2Q.

Panthers hold Murphy & drive again for the score. 2 off side penalties on the pat, so the Panthers go for 2. Panthers 22-0 2Q.

Panthers kick a 27 yd FG with 6 seconds left in the half. Panthers 25-0 Half.

Franklin takes the 2nd half KO down to the 3 & on 4th down a end zone pass is tipped away. Murphy takes over and the Panthers swarm the QB on a sneak for a safety. 27-0 Panthers.

Radio troubles tonight. Can hear the frustration in the guys voices. It happens & thanks for bringing the games to us who can't attend. In the meantime the Panthers score again & with a 2pt conv lead.....35-0 Panthers 4Q

Brooks has the backups in the game in the 4th. Panthers driving again.

2nd & 3rd team drive the field & score. Panthers 42-0 4Q.

Bulldogs avoid the shut out with 29 seconds left. Panthers 42-7 Final.

Great game !! The Hounds have alot of talent and Hickory is way better than last year. Jai Hoag for the hounds had 5 rushing tds and threw for alot of yards. Congrats to the Red Tornadoes and their coaching staff who had a great game plan that gave us fits. Hickory is gonna surprise some teams in their conference.

Both teams seem to be young this year, a lot of juniors (and sophomores as well in Murphy's case) on both sides, but talented. I'm just hoping for a good showing from Murphy and for the boys to come out of this game injury free. I'm not very confident in a 'Dogs win after Saturday, but I'd love to be wrong about that.

That's not a slight to this year's Murphy team, it's just that being confident in a 'Dogs win against Franklin is a big ask given how the series has went since Goldsmith took over and Brooks continued it. Murphy would've had to have looked like killers Saturday for me to not see Franklin as the favorite in this game, the Panthers have earned that right over the last decade of this series.

If there was a betting line for this I'd say Franklin by 10, thoughts?
