I have noticed a trend in HS athletics here in NC over the years. That is a growing number of head coaches being between 19-22 years old. I have heard of at least 3 schools hiring head coaches, all under 21 years old. Most recently Blue Ridge promoted JV coach Adam Bullard to be the new mens basketball coach, and he is only 20 years old. I am not knocking young coaches at all, but why is this becoming the new trend now? Are some of these kids that don't even have degrees with hiring so young?

At NC State camp today per multiple outlets.

Very tough non conference schedule. Three 3A teams and a big 4A school. Hibriten and South Caldwell will be huge test.

South should be really good this year and that game is at South Caldwell. They certainly will be battle tested for conference play.

Does anyone know what happened to Coach Hayes from Denton (South Davidson)? I remember many years ago he used to coach for East Davidson and then left to go coach at Denton. I can't remember exactly what year it was at Denton, but while Coach Hayes was at Denton, he had a running back name Chris Dobbins and a decent offensive line. During those years, they were decent at running the ball.

Just tired of seeing one or two year. We used to see 4 year one's around here. I'm talking about starters
