In a effort to get thru these last couple weeks before practice and fuel some discussion....Pick 22 players for your school past or present build a depth chart you can even add a coach and def coordinator aswell

For my all time Clinton Darkhorse team

QB Bryan Peterson
RB Nic Cooper
RB Willie Parker
FB Ralph Smith
WR LC Stevens
WR Jerris McPhail
TE Scooter Banks
TE Rock Wells
OL-Just give me a combo of the line from 96/97 squads

DE-Darrell Steele
DE-Tim Boykin
DT-Kenneth Ashley
DT-TJ Boone
LB-Leonard Henry
LB-Herbert Dixon
LB-Philip Strickland
CB-Jamar Hicks
CB-Jamel Henry
FS-Brian Howard
SS-Brian Williams
P-Cody Stanley
K-Chandler Perry

Coach-Bob Lewis
Def Coord- Jeff Sawvel

OK I know that's more then 22 but fill up a depth chart depending on the offense/defense scheme your school runs

SWO defense

DE Marcus Jones
DE Jerel Revels
DL Tim Buck
DL Torman
DL Darren Waters
LB Jerry Fonville
LB Ryan Peedin
LB Renaldo Simmons/S Shaq Pershay
CB Kendric Burney
CB Jamal Williams

Offense
QB Al Barnett
RB Odell Burney
RB TQ Hardison
WR Aurillio Ottey: SWO just started passing the ball 3 years ago and Ottey "MIGHT" be SW all-time leader in receptions. To many great RB for him to make it on this list as a RB.
WR Jeveon Walker
WR Ralph Henry: played rb, but would have been all-time great WR
OL: Kareem Ellis
OL: Charlie Demsey
OL: Segui

Kicker: Mathics

Yes LC Stevens was one of Clinton's most versatile players starting QB his junior year moved to RB and LB senior year And of course went on to play WR at UNC

I see Marcus Jones's name. Not only was he a great f'ball player, he was a pretty decent Mixed Martial Artist. He appeared on a season of The Ultimate Fighter (can't remember which one).

As ninja likes to say Marcus Jones has been on 3 video games. In 92 we did not have all this national coverage for HS kids, but if we did Marcus Jones would have been the number 1 recruit in America (did win Gatorade national defensive player of the year) Marcus Jones physique as a 16-18 year old kid looks like Lebron James now. That is not over exaggerating it is the truth. Wish he had more of mean streak on the field, but happy he was a Stallion.

Midway Offense

QB Craig West/ Also the left handed QB off the im thinking 94 team he also played LB
FB Robert Sills
RB Sean Rivera
RB Brandon Killet
WR Mitchell McNeil
WR Kinta Owens
WR "Cotton" Warren
TE Joshua Bullard
C Brad Hardison
Rest of OLine Hard to Pick Some off the 88 team 96 or 97 or 2000 team.

Midway D

LB Greg Raynor
LB Max Pope
LB Jason Williams
LB Adam Jackson
Hard to slim the LB's down
SS Pat Bullard
FS Mitchell McNiel
Some more defense off the 88 team
K off the 88 team

Midway has never had a divison 1 player but there are some good high school players on this list .
I know I am probably missing some that might be better.

Yeah Brandon Killet played at fayetteville state one year not sure if that is D1 or not they have had some walk ons at d1 schools but Midway has had some good football teams in the 80's 90's early 2000's

That is why I am shocked. Midway was a monster. I can't remember his name, but your QB in like 90 or 91 could have played D1 as a QB, but I think picked baseball. Cannot remember his name.

Yeah I forgot about him I believe you are talking about Terry Williams. He went to play baseball at UNCW. He was a good pocket passer.

I'll take a stab at this.....might end up having more than 22 though.....

Okay, I will take a stab at this. Andrews has been blessed to have some serious talent walk thru the halls over the years. I have a pretty good knowledge of Andrews football since its inception, so hopefully I will give a pretty accurate accounting for the 45+ years the school has been open. I will also include what each player did after Andrews, as most went on to play in college. I will just limit it to D1 & 1AA players, unless he made it to the NFL.

Head Coach: Herb Goins, Asst Head Coach: Bob Boswell

QB Johnny Evans NC State, NFL
RB Ted Brown NC State, NFL
RB Tony Baker East Carolina, NFL
WR Tony Washington Appalachian, NFL
WR Darius Brewington NC A&T

I knew I would forget someone! I corrected the list as I had Tony Washington listed as Tony Richardson and had accidentally edited out Gilchrist. We could easily add a second string of mostly D1/D1AA players as well. Lots of talent flowing thru 1920 McGuinn Avenue over the years!

Reidsville High School - with so many good receivers to come through had to put up a 2nd team

WR Raphael Chestnut / 2nd Team Desmond Hammond
WR Isaiah Robinson / 2nd Team Chico Galloway

Sure I'm forgetting someone deserving but I would have to add Na Brown (WR), Jeff Cauthen (DB), and Isaiah Robinson (WR) to this list somehow for Reidsville.

Those players you have named are worthy also, especially Isaiah Robinson and Na Brown I revised the list. with so many talented receivers to come through the last 15 years I had to create a 2nd team
