Congrads Tville on your win tonight. Not a bad game for the first game of the season. 3 big plays from Thomasville was the difference. Thought the game got away from us in the second quarter. We have got to shore up our corners. That's were we got hurt tonight. Thought the offense did pretty good considering Tville had 9 in the box. We didn't try to throw the ball enough. imo. Our DW is still a work in progress.
On a brighter note the best part of the night to me was meeting ITJ, oc davis and thomasvilledawg. Thanks for stopping by guys.
Again it was nice to see the red dogs and blue dogs go at it. Wasn't a classic but still nice to see these 2 teams playing again.
Now to get ready for Concord. Ugh, ouch. Not sure I'm looking forward to next week. It will be a tall order guys. Just keep working hard and lets get after it Monday. Go Dogs.

Northwest 1A in 2015

almost time to kick it off again....based on whats coming back it looks to be a battle b/t East Surry and Walkertown (new coach) for the top spot....ES lost both POY but return enough to be considered the top pick....Walkertown returns some very good skill players and this could be the year that puts them over the top....Bears graduated all their skill players on "O" and will be young, very young on that side..."D" will have to play huge in early part of season until young players come along....very good size on both lines...kicking game in good shape.....Atkins (new coach), Bishop and North Stokes will be very young all around but the big "?" is what kind os team WS Prep will field....could end up with some very good players from what I'm hearing.....was told home games will be played at Atkins (when they are away).....7 more Fridays....can't wait!!

Raleigh Enloe is a 4AA team and was a 34 point favorite.

BY is, well, BY. Maybe one of the weakest programs in North Carolina.

For the team from Yanceyville to beat a 4AA team from Raleigh has to rank as one of the biggest upsets all time in North Carolina.

Final score was 20-14. Take a bow, Bartlett Yancey. You deserve it.

pretty interesting start. Up to conference. Like the fact that rjr and parkland got moved from back to back weeks not saying nothing but as a football fan I knew the outcomes and it made it a boring two week period.

Think Dudley at Dudley going be a good game to prepare us for conference play that I strongely applaud the staff for getting and dropping the smaller schools.

Oh the I formation would look good in Davie County one of these days again. As I listen to the song in my head Dream on Dream on Dream on lol. They didn't run it with Cade I don't know why they would now.

If you ain't seen the new school plans looked them up football stadium going to look nice.

Any thoughts on this matchup on Friday down in Marion?

McDowell let one slip away last Friday at R-S Central. In just one game the Titans looked improved on defense, especially against the run. Meanwhile Avery had a tough time of it last weekend against Hampton (TN).

Now that Tre Jackson is gone from Avery, do they still have that duel threat attack on offense or is it leaning back toward the run game?

Hold on to your hats NoJo Panthers fans. Coach Ashley Ennis and his staff may have worked some mental magic over the summer. Storming the 2015 stage on the road with a 63-20 shellacking of Louisburg may be a wake up call. Should North leave Rosewood's Eagles nekid and featherless on their own field this Friday night and begin the season 2-0, a ton of folk will be eating a healthy portion of crow.
