Should be a good game the D will have to ready for gibbons multiple offensive sets with great play calling they have a good o line with good athletes and a great fan base. Raiders have a good week of preparation and practice we will be fine and raider nation will travel fine up number 1. The crusaders have same color uniforms green and gold every where lol go Raiders.

I'll also add that when the series between Tarboro and Northern Nash Ended, they were in a bit of a down period as well. I don't think anybody around here knew that Northern Nash would be playing for a State title just a few years later.

It would be nice if they could get NE and HC off the schedule and replace them with Rose, Conley, Northeastern HS or Southern Nash. It is good to see them playing Havelock this season and that should be a helluva game. And nothing you can do about conference games. Those are locked in and even if most all of them are mind numbing blowouts, they have to be played. Of course, I also fault these teams that Tarboro humiliates for not getting better and letting their football programs just rot on the vine.

With him, WITHOUT QUESTION, Clinton would have won the game. Without him, they only lost by 10 points. If you believe differently, you never saw him play. The pay he scored on today for Maryland was one of his bread-and-butter plays for the DarkHorses. He's a go-to player

Mom worked at WC but she lost her job at WC. Went to Christian as a result of that. West Meck is the home school, to my understanding.

South Rowan opponent is South Stanly, a small 1A school. They wanted to return to play at South Rowan today and were open to a start as early as 10am. South Rowan, the host school, would not play until Monday.

South Stanly coach, Terry Shankle (former UNC player in his second year), was ok with Monday. Their AD said he would not do Monday due to having a thirty (healthy) man roster, including eight quarter players, with JV and varsity games coming up Thursday and Friday.

I lean in favor of South Stanly in this one.

Think CG has turf. If so, they should have accepted the MC travel offer. If they have grass it would have been dependent on the condition of the field.

I personally hate the extra time because we had the Crest defense on the field the majority of the night. They were getting a little tired but who knows what happens if we had started that possession. Maybe they adjusted at half time. I thought McGowan led the offense well once he came in. If we can develop a good passing game with the run game we can be pretty dang good on offense. Defense played good at times and seemed to be getting better but we had a few too many arm tackles along with letting receivers get by on the trick plays. They were wide open. Crest offense looked pretty good at times and others I was “confused” like the fan base seems to be. Still early but we will see what happens to finish it Monday. Some of yall thought we were a pretty young team but last night you knew it if you knew the kids. Sophomores all over the field. Something to build on for sure.
