Face it you playing the weakest conference in the state. Last I checked Big South has at least two more quality teams in league. Your butt hurt cause Crest put belt to arse on your SUPER team last night.

If the school request a clock operator, schools are not required to use an official, then the school chooses, does he run play clock or the game clock. He does not do both.

Sadly yes. Games like this will lead a man to drink. Not knocking East Rutherford but Newton is better than to this. No explanation as to what happened. Just poor play. And to silence the uninformed. No Newton did not quit in any game. The Refs. Both school Athletic Directors, Principals and coaches made the decision to cancel the game against Hickory because of the weather. It was a non conference game that eventually would have been dropped anyway. But thanks for having such a concern for us this early in the season. Great bulletin board material. Funny stuff though. I will probley be out at Maiden and Saint next week since most of the conference is on a much needed bye week.

Is south Iredell that much improved or did statesville have a letdown after last week.

Good game for Crest and great to see the defense step up. Want to see the offense play four quarters but will take it when leading 27-0. Shelby showed some fight after being down so big but has to get turnovers under control. And hey 3-4 on PAT last night!

Two powerful offenses. Who will score last, probably will win. No one has stopped WS offense so far. This will be leg 2 of Trent Lowman's Revenge Tour!

In my humble opinion, Cobb is one of the most underrated RB in the country. He has everything...speed, quickness, can change direction and he's improved catching balls. He runs like he's pissed at the disrespect

So skill wise they were equal, just West OL was the difference? OL should be West strength with all of the studs that are receiving offers and invites. Looks like Wildcats vs. Rams for championship! Gonna be fun to see if Reidsville can handle WS OL.

Sounds like both teams will go far in the playoffs... Right now it has ramifications for the playoffs but later down the road it might not.. I remember years ago kenan beat a team in the regular season and still had to play that team again in the playoffs but that game was played at that teams home instead of at kenan because that team had a better overall record due to dropping a loss...

Not much different than most predicted. To be fair to West I honestly don’t think East Forsyth fairs much better. They have a slightly better offense but Weddingtons defense is still stout.

Special teams was huge in this game. The blocked PATs by JK, the excellent punt by Whiteville that helped lead to the safety. All big time plays.

I coached at Carver that last decent playoff run in 2A and while open enrollment is a part of the issue it's not the primary issue. It's no longer enough to tell parents to send their kids to a school simply because it's in their district. Kids now want to compete at programs that have 5 man sleds and tackling dummies. They want to be at schools that have a sense of pride about themselves. It's noted some of the reasons Carver and other schools are where they are. Some of it system and some self inflicted. You're asking parents to turn a blind eye to a better situation for their child. Yes if you're good colleges will find you but it also doesn't hurt to have those colleges at your high school already as a destination because of a pipeline or relationship with a coach. Why shouldn't a parent pave a better road for their child? I'm a traditionalist and Ole school but I even understand loyalty is pretty much over. We can't even get universities to be loyal to conferences nevermind players and coaches loyal to teams anymore. The only loyalty a parent should have is to the best situation for their child. If it's works out I'm the district school God bless them but stop vilifying parents for seeking the best interest for their child especially if they're within the confines of the rules. If your kid can play and stays in one of the aforementioned districts you all expect a parent to choose those over EF or WF? That's not realistic and it's delusional now that it's within the rules. Shoot the top lawyers go to the top firms right? Or at least Suits has me thinking that. 😆

East Surry has some big boys on the line for sure. They may not lose again till playoffs. Our conference just got stronger with Walkertown knocking off Forest Hills. I'll agree about the kickoff giving West ball at midfield. Last week Randleman scored 15 seconds before halftime and kicked it to Fleming and he ran it back.
