Where did he transfer to

There are always lulls in talent in 1A football. Swain has always been a tough out through the years because they played hard nosed football, ran the ball, controlled the clock, and finished drives. They never beat themselves with penalties and turnovers. These are the traditional Swain teams I coached against. I'm sure the coaches are busting it to make what they have better everyday. I'll bet they do much better once conference hits.

Bandys over West Lincoln- a close matchup, should be oughta be, but Bandys be alittle too athletic for the rebuild at WL. Prob 2 score game

The Hill over Ljnconton- battle tested I can believe it, but Willis gets it done. If they hung close to Randleman then this is a no brainer but hoping for a close but safe game

Maiden over EB- only 1 EB win over Maiden which was the 1st time these 2 met in 07’ and obviously without Shatley EB just can’t compete with em’. It will be a battle test for Cavs to see how much adversity they can overtake and will be their hardest game of season. Keeping Freedom to just 2 scores is no easy task so EB even though big underdogs in this one they’ll show they’re not pushovers but reality is Maiden is just too much.

Newton over West Caldwell- time for the boys to showcase what they got and get a much needed win. Newton played a whopper of an East Rutherford team so talk about battle tested. North Lincoln pulled off a sizzler on those boys with a 1 point victory barely escaping with a win.

Hickory at EL- battle for supremacy but Hickory shows their stuff and EL, well we shall see how they hold up against a powerhouse

Statesville at North Lincoln- that’s were I’m gonna be or may be if I’m a gamer. I enjoyed that light tshow they got set up. Game wise HUGE battle for 2nd place, respect, and playoff seedings.

Kinda off CVAC but is Bazzel back?

The association was trying something new and trying to figure it all out. Looking at what other states have done and copying them is fine, but I think using the cup standings is fine. A school that consistently dominates their classification should be moved up and those that are regularly near the bottom can be moved down.

Idk what you're threshold is from decent run defense to struggling to stop it...but according to our stat guys, Saint had 69 yds rushing 1st half and 61 yards second half...for 130 total rushing for the game.

I think that's pretty good.

I also believe allowing, on average, 10 points a game so far is pretty good and should bode well against a team that's averaging only 6 points a game.

Should be a good game, both teams have scored alot of points, Brevard gave up a bunch to Erwin, East gave up a bunch to N Lincoln and TC. So could be a shoot out.

Havelock is the real deal this year. I said that as soon as they got the transfer QB. New Bern is struggling mightily right now on offense and now face a dominant Havelock defense. Thinking 35-7 or 42-14, Havelock.

Such a bummer, I was excited for them and figured they'd be a solid contender for 4th. They will be lucky to win one this year if their offense doesn't get better.

Lucky for them they their next 2 games are against their cellar mates. This could be an 0fer season. South Stokes looks terrible, but they've played a fairly tough non conference schedule. North has 2 wins over 2 bad teams, but right now I'd say they are better than Elkin

Like I've said, the new coach should have been told he was focusing on football and football only. JV team hasn't been any better and hasn't scored yet. I don't think middle school team has been good either. If they don't figure something out anyone that's good is going to transfer in middle school and Elkin will be lucky to field a team.

That school as a whole is a shell of what it once was and they aren't doing themselves any favors.
