Let me rephrase…. The schools like Asheville and ac Reynolds in the wnc mountains don’t seem to be making deep runs anymore cause we don’t have the horses. We certainly haven’t and Reynolds has had 1-2 pretty good runs the last 7-8 years.

Definitely focused on Salisbury. Was just answering your assessment on FH. FH was also down some key players that game and didn’t capitalize on any of those 5 turnovers. Best of luck to you guys vs. West Stokes.

I agree. They’re not gonna press him and take it from him often. Beyond the fact that he’s a good ball handler, he’s quite tall for a high school point guard which gives him vision I guess. I did not watch Ledford as much last year except for when they came to play North Davidson, but they have another kid. That’s a pretty good ball handler as well. He was there last year though. So it makes me wonder if they’re in aptitude last year, particularly in the face of the press, had less to do a talent and more to do with coaching. I could not speak to that with any authority though.

I will say that I think they’re going to be a lot tougher this year than they were last year. I don’t see a game on their schedule for the foreseeable future that is a certain loss.

I've been all over the state the last 25 years watching football. I just enjoy it no matter if my Warriors are involved or not. I've seen some amazing teams like the Chris Leak Independence squads and many more. I would like to see Mount Airy too. Dudley vs Hickory would be awesome as well. Guess I'll wait and see who is playing. I can dream that Erwin will be but I'm realistic. We have out hands full this week and if we pull that off we get Dudley! Lol

We are 2a but was in the same conference for few years so I've seen them play a lot. New head coach may hurt come crunch time. I know MH coach is really good and has seen it all.

I agree. I've seen some SMC teams beat much faster and athletic teams over the years. Coaching and skill have a lot to do with it. It sounds like Mount Airy has all that. They are one team I've never seen play but I plan to if they play Heritage.
