Monroe @ Shelby

Well you got one thing out of all of that correct. McGowan did not play. The rest is totally false. JV Qb hurt his foot in the JV game vs Shelby and did not play. The QB that started the first quarter vs Crest and went back to receiver where he played last year was Graham Warlick. That is who played QB against Monroe. We had both starting RB's in the game. Zavion Wilson started the game and Goodson came in as well. Max Davis also had a few carries including from the Wildcat. Burns did have players out and have a lot of 10th graders so the JV comment was somewhat accurate. Shelby has a much better chance than we did but if the QB has any issues running the wildcat may be a great option Friday. Monroe had a lot of trouble with penalties. If Shelby takes advantage of that they could very well win. There is no upset in this game. If Monroe wins, they were favored. If Shelby wins would anyone really be surprised?
Basically what you are saying is that Monroe is really good.

Monroe @ Shelby

Burns best player (QB/LB) didn't play as well as Burns RB 1. JV QB played QB and the QB that started the year but got hurt early in the season played WR. Not sure why they didn't put him back at QB for that game.... but word is Monroe essentially played Burns JV which explains the score.

🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 🦅 It’s time to fly

Good write up in our local paper
Defense really played well in all areas which is very nice to see. Coaches and kids have really done a complete turnaround in this area. Don’t get me wrong I love watching an explosive offense but it has been blessing having a good defense.

Looks like they read the forum.

Murphy @ Heritage

….Just wanted to know how this came to fruition?
Independent schools …it’s like a draft choice ? ,I don’t know if a student has to be within the circle of 25 miles for a given time to be eligible to play a given year?…love that there’s freedom of choice to attend public or independent ,private..if that’s allowed or be accepted to attend one but ,are not private schools in a category of playoffs themselves?
Just a curious concern of who how this was decided to incorporate both ‘types’ of schools to play all together, why not include private with all ?

CVAC 2024

I wonder how long after the change. Until the Lincolnton guys get tired of the Shelby guys and miss me 🤣🤣
AMD, we’ll surely miss you, but since you’re a well know poster we can visit with you. First, we have to figure out which message board we’re going to be on.

About the Shelby guys, we had a repartee with them long befor we showed up in the CVAC.

Got to say, though, The CVAC will be missed. That was a great conference.

Corvian?

If the NCHSAA or State Legislature really wanted to do what’s right; I have an idea. When making classifications 1A-8A let’s put all charters and private schools in the NCHSAA into 1a and 2a and subdivide them out based on ADM and let them compete for state titles amongst themselves. I totally believe that traditional schools should be competing amongst themselves. Regardless of politics and why charters schools are so prominent now the state legislature sees a clear avenue to educating students without having the burden of pay/insurance/ retirement for the teaching. The line in the budget is thinning out.

At the end of the day when you have charters with students from multiple zones and multiple counties competing at one school they shouldn’t be competing against traditional schools regardless of winning or losing. Finally, it’s really hard to believe that the lottery system at some places works so well to stack some athletic teams. Good luck to all moving forward.

Hahaha I see what you did there. You and Cherokee county can't even agree to get a new school because you hate Andrews so much. What you guys need to do is just accept that basically You guys keep thinking you're tough but really you just stupid. don't give us that answer that nobody wants to have anything to do with Andrews You just turned in or gave back 64 million they would have helped you fix that problem created a better education system for the people of your county. But you're such next that you couldn't do it.
You are as ass.

Monroe @ Shelby

I’m hoping Monroe wins.

I know. I know. Look at my handle.

But this isn’t about capitals, capitols, 23-19, or any of the other arguments that have been said a million times.

I predicted years ago when the A And AA were left behind, that we would see four different champions in 2a over this realignment. I simply want that prediction to hold true. It’s no great hatred I have for old gold/black. I just simply want to be right. At least once in my life.
