High School OT was there too and said it was a great catch. It's funny none of them including Robinson's team or coaches argued about the catch and it was on their side of the field. You saying that Robinson was a play away, But look at the total yardage, Dudley has more first downs, More passing yardage and more rushing yardage. Robinson quarterback was sacked about six times. Dudley had how many at least four or five possessions at midfield. If it wasn't for those false starts and delay a game penalties which was mental breakdowns on Dudley they would have scored in the first half. Robinson only touchdown came from a block punt and got the ball at the 15. So it wasn't 3 and 1/2 quarters. Dudley tied it up within 2 seconds of the fourth quarter.

Correct saunders, you could feel the tide turning mid 3rd, dudley had a drive latter 3rd and had
4th and 2 at the robinson 40 and punted them deep, they then went score, score,score and
a defensive stand in there, yes there was that all alone terrible drop pass by Robinson that
would have been a score and tie the game with around 5 minutes at 14,,, The long rung after the 4th down stop Id like to know the speed of that guy running it was incredible long strides,,Sorry dont know these guys names just travelled in for the game...
this looks to be a great game WC with 2 loses (close one to m creek and a wooping by hough)
Hough is just another level, only Grim and Weddington can compete IMO.

One of Dudley's main cats, and it may have been Mister Saunders, stated on another thread that Dudley had six or eight players out during the Eastern Guilford contest.
P.S. If going through the regular season undefeated, you're possibly/probably going to have at least one shat, or below average game . Even the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins had a one point win and a two point win.. I guess the key is if they serve you a shat sandwich, slang it out the door and make one of cavier and almonds.
P.S.S. The Dudley receiver had not only one foot in, both feet were down. That reception would have been a touchdown in the NFL.

We did blitz some. Played a lot of cover 3 and 4 at times. The defensive line put a lot of pressure on the QB and he had to rush his throws. Most of the time he just threw it up for grabs. The coverage was verry good. He would pull it down and took off running getting most of his yards. He was their best athlete by far. By the way, we had a great crew of refs for a change. I only saw one missed call that should have gone against them, but it went against us instead.

You could not be more wrong. Luckily I haven't had to disappear too much in the last few years, at least not as much as some. So let me get this right: I am supposed to fall off the grid when the Rams loose as in 2021, which causes you to worry about my well being (which I appreciate) or as in this year I don't fall off the grid and you are apparently aware of my well being yet wish you didn't want to have to read my post.
I may attend your matchup with Monroe Friday. I will sit on the Shelby side and pull FOR Shelby (just a little) I told SL I would attend the state finals should you make it and sit with him. I think he would be a barrel of laughs to hear during a game. I think you would just grovel the whole game. About two years ago I realized something in observance of Shelby......You can't always win. That changed my thinking. As for your father/son duo- they are still on my radar. We have to have some fun!!!

As a final note my response to TRUE/false also applies to you and ME.

Problem was if we gave EF the ball back right there… they were gonna march right down the field and score immediately. Defense was gassed and giving up like 6-7 yards a carry at that point. Think we were trying to buy them some time.

But end of the day we didn’t make the plays that were right there prior to that. Two missed FGs, two fumbles leading to East points (on one of them I think), and 2 over throws on potential TDs were killer.

You do know idiot bc of 8 classification its not a true 3A???? 3A now has 800 plus students. So shut up already! Look back at who MA beat last 3 seasons in reg season and playoffs. For the majority was teams with close to or more students than MA. So shut up!

Not a toss up. Weddington is so much better on defense it’s not even funny. And if you thought we were effective running the ball, Weddington will say “hold my beer”.

But I agree with the general idea that East might have the more explosive offense. I just don’t see any way that East can stop or even slow down the ground game vs Weddington, but who knows. That’s why we play the games on the field and not on paper lol

Looks like we got another air raid team coming to Whiteville. If the Pack can play like they did against EW there is no doubt the Pack comes away with this game. I would say by at least 3 touch downs, but who knows because that is why they play the game. I know Kinston has a good team or they wouldn't be here. Hope it is an injury free game regardless of who wins.

You keep throwing out that 3a term but you do realize that we will be competing against a lot of the same teams that we are playing now. Not the 3a of now. When it was split into 1a-1aa MA was one of the smaller fish in the pond along with Murphy and Mitchell along with others. They all did rather well against the larger schools and didn't cry about it.
