They had 39 applicants and only interviewed a handful. The OC at burns had the job and then backed out after talking to Postell. Not sure of everyone who applied but the DC at Weddington did and didn't get a call back

I think Shelby’s defense will be a surprise x-factor. Everyone talked about the skill guys but that defense in the front seven is pretty good. Shelby’s front seven are really fast at hitting the gaps and flowing to the ball. Although Shelby was smaller the new weight room is obviously paying dividends because their kids seemed physically stronger as compared to previous years.

He was often unfairly criticized, and definitely taken for granted, but I think Reidsville is going to miss Al Lee more than some of you guys think. He was a three year starter, and had a big arm, could push the ball down field, could move the chains, mobility wise.

I watched Neal’s Hudl highlights from that game. He is obliviously a superior athlete, but he has a water pistol for an arm, and if you think quarterback sweeps and screen passes will get it done versus fast defenses, as in Shelby or Monroe, you could be in for a rude awakening. He bounced everything outside. As fast as Shelby’s defense is, I can’t see him having much success doing that. 12-14 88 yards passing is efficient, but again, 90% percent of those passes were WR screens. He’s an athlete playing quarterback.

Cobb had 8 carries for 113 yards, his touchdown run being 89 yards. Take away the td, he had 7 carries for 24 yards. Humble yourself! You’re not as good as you were last year, period. I definitely hope Shelby sees the Rams this season, and both teams are healthy.

Murphy should have put Nelson as the Head Coach, I think they really messed up trying to play family ball.

Your numbers on D didn't look bad last week. Seemed like KM struggled on both passing and rushing. I understand the complete game part of it though but you have only had one 4 quarter game. I understand your point though. We got off to a slow start last week as well. Rough first quarter with a few mental mistakes but we got it going after that. We cannot afford a rough first quarter this week.

What stood out about last week was the aggressiveness in the play calling. We were looking for the jugular every single time the offense was on the field, been a while since I’ve seen that. The question is, do we have that same mentality this week.

I imagine this week will be tougher. I went back and watched the Reagan vs Marvin Ridge game. Reagan’s defense was very much a bend but don’t break defense. The big plays down field might be fewer and far between this week. I expect they’ll make us try to be more methodical.

The big cities in NC need to do a Thursday game on TV. Knoxville area does a Rivalry Thursday game. I usually watch them. September 12th will be a really really good game. Greeneville plays Alcoa. Save this link so you can watch

You moving the goalpost again. NC Team have played TV games all the time. Also State championships also televised. The NC Rule is for live games during live played games. Keep up. They dont want competing live games while HS are playing on FRiday nights. People actually going to the games matter.

Looked good when he got the ball (long TD reception on Murphy's first drive) but couldn't the ball in his hands nearly enough. I agree wingback would be his best spot to maximize his touches in Murphy's offense but that's not going to happen.

Truthfully it wouldn't have mattered who was in the backfield for Murphy last week though, the o-line couldn't block anybody.
