CVAC 2024 - Week 2 💯

I went back and read week 2 last year…most took East Burke and Lincolnton. What a difference a year makes.

Lincolnton played South Point tough then….and North Lincoln barely lost to West….why so different on picks now? Go figure.

Just feels different for whatever reason!

Saw where Grizz went to a wedding. 😉

Also reminded of the Farley family tragedy….hard to believe…still. Hoping Caleb gets picked up by a team…since he was dropped by the Titans this week….continued thoughts and prayers for his future.

I agree…AMD….2nd week bye sucks!…what to do…what to do. My boys are out…but I’m going somewhere….thinking I’ll go see my first born….let’s go Ironmen!❤️

West Lincoln wins, I would say a lot but West offense doesn't allow it to score a lot. Luckily it's not played in cherryville. If so the ironmen would just push rebels out of bounds hard and they would get hit by traffic 🤣🤣. You gotta understand the stadium to get that.

Reidsville @ Greensboro Page

Looking at our team, It's safe to say that Page finally has been able to get their numbers up depth wise and weight wise, starting to look like a 4A sized program again... The freshman class is huge this year and should they develop together will be special in a couple years. One of Page's top playmakers soph. Kasai Poindexter was out last week against Dudley, might be back on Friday. Dudley is very skilled and deep this year. They will make a run in 3A playoffs. Reidsville is picked to win by many, and Page being so young in many key spots, it'll be tough. If Page finds a spark like they did a couple of years ago, watch out it might ignite a barnburner.

2 yrs ago in the playoffs TS won 58-55 on a hail mary on the games final play , last year regular season Scotland
goes back to TS and wins 34-29. ..This year Scotland loses at Dillon game 1 with there run game non existent 37-21. TS wins at topsail 47-41. This week Scotland County will host TS. The computers have Scotland about a 2 td favorite, no doubt Id take the pts if i was a betting man here but W/L is all that matters. I see a 1 score game here and hope the team in blue has a higher point total...Any thoughts??

I only know of one lineman who is out and he was out last week. Just a tough road when you start 3 sophomores on both the Oline and Dline. Mitchell is crazy young right now. Think I heard they played like 12 or 13 sophomores last week. Just feels like this is the year McDowell breaks the streak. I felt Mitchell played better in the second half last week but still have a ways to go.
Will always bleed purple but could be a long yr in Ledger.

Greeneville is a nice little town. Yes Alcoa lost their 1st game this year. From what I have heard Greeneville is good this year. You can watch the game September 12th on that link. I usually watch the football game on TV Thursday and the Rivalry Thursday game on my IPad

Page did pull the V-JV sweep against the Rams in 2022, and the JVs won last year. Meaning there will be a lot of players on Page's team that have experience beating Reidsville before.
