Yeah, both teams were big, physical, and fast then. Now their trying to make Parkland Glenn a big rivalry since Carver fell off. Hope this 2-1 start leads to something.

Doubt it. We been real bad the past couple years since moving down to 1A. Believe Community school of Davidson the favorite. They went 11-2 last year beating East surry.

Need a little payback after that spring ball collapse in 2021.

We had 7 penalties for 56 yds yall had 6 for 48! Far cry from 20 that cost you 7 tds! Should have been 14-13 at the half! You scored 6 pts in the second half as well. And I was there…it was a holding call on our first drive of the second half that changed everything. I have much respect for Joey and his staff and program, don’t get on here and imagine an outcome when as you said, weren’t even there!

Will Lumberton make the playoffs?

Not sure if Mt Airy can get it done this Friday. We will have to work very hard, not make stupid mistakes and be very lucky. Ashe is a 3A team and a mountain team. They have to be respected or they could "pass" us to death.

No playoffs are when adms come out

Not to be technical but someone mentioned being close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mt Airy is actually only 7 miles from the parkway and it actually runs through a portion of Surry County. Kind of qualifies us as being in the "mountains".

How good is North Surry and did South Caldwell just actually play a decent team and just got stomped or do they have something this year provided they play their cards right and finish .500 at least?

West Lincoln, did they have some things not go their way that they let it be that close and did they lose enough to graduation that it’s really effecting them?

Not real sure what to ask about the other teams but I guess if anyone knows the injury report on the 2 linemen at EB that got hurt let us know. Some folks will say or think that if EB couldn’t put more up on Draughn than they did that how would they push to be top 3 or even 4 in over conf finish? Me personally, I think Draughn played a good game and that EB showed them their strength and that’s defense this year and they should and may finish that 3rd or 4th if that holds up, 74# plays his game and they tweek out some offense it’s possible.

We had 20 penalties to robbinsvilles 2 it absolutely killed us on two drives, if we wanted to pad stays we also could have punched in a touchdown at the end of the game. I don't usually complain about penalties but even a Mitchell fan pointed that out, I expected Robbinsville to be tough I even said earlier in the week they could be at us.

Sam's gap skates along the edge of Yancey county you can actually go across wolf laurel and spivey mountain and be in Yancey county big bald which is a notable spot on the Appalachian Trail is actually in Yancey county near that area, my favorite part of Yancey county is barnardsville mountain rd to pensacola rd you get to see the black mountains and drive on a dirt rd lol

Watauga vs ACR- one hot game I’d highly recommend. True test right here other than TCRobeson

North Lincoln at East Rutherford- both ranked, North in a hot seat with expectations on this and with their hardest test yet we will see how they really hold up. A sold victory for North will show us how much more ready they may be for Statesville, Hickory and East Lincoln. We shall see. A East Rutherford victory will show us just how hard of a team Newton played this past Friday and to not get down in dumps or get discouraged.

These 2 games oughta be bonus picks. Both of them are hard calls and anyone’s game.
