Mass exodus of coaches.. Lost three of their better players to Hough (Tyran Evans) and West Charlotte (Noah Collins and Mike Griffin) who would’ve been huge difference makers. Think they had a RB who transferred in from South Pointe and he went to West Charlotte too. I feel for Brandon Wiggins. Great man but it may be a long year on IBM.

Well, I'm pretty sure Swain is done. Injury bug has decimated them. Plus their coach is worse than I thought. Robbinsville is 0-3 but I'm thinking they are much better than their record. They've played three tough games. Murphy is better than I thought with two quality wins. Hayesville ... 2 points against Andrews, I just can't fathom. I'm just sticking to my day job ... Lol. Go Bulldogs.

Getting Breazeale back on the field in a few weeks will certainly be a big help on defense, not sure about the other big gun you're referring to but if it's who I'm assuming you're speaking of I think that particular player is a depth piece only at this point.

As far as the JV squad goes, you're right it's a big group so there's the potential for increased depth but I don't see any of them making an impact on varsity this year with the exception of Davis IF they choose to give him reps, which I'm not sure will happen. To my original point about the QB position, the JV QB Bain has all the tools to be a good future QB at Murphy and I have no reason to think he can't challenge #10 for the position next year if he continues to develop, but I find very unlikely that he will get that opportunity at QB until #10 has graduated.

Whether it's in the smokies or not that area it's the prettiest part of the nc mountains I'm talking about all parts of nc southwest of buncombe county, it's more dense in big mountains than the high country ( Yancey, Mitchell, Avery, Watauga, Ashe, Allegehany, Wilkes) being from Yancey i'd say Mitchell or Avery is the prettiest county in the High country.
