Good fits?
maybe Mike helms ? He knows the area. Could be a redemption story for him. A way to get back to being a head coach and repair reputation. Or his son Brandon helms

Independence at Hough and Mallard Creek and Watauga are tough Second Round matchups for sure

I’m glad to see yall finally waking up to what Hough is. I saw it within the first couple weeks, but others claimed “we’ve heard this story before”. Even the Hough long time haters can’t deny it now. This team reminds me of some of those old creek butler Indy teams. Good qb, good OL/DL that is physical and play to echo of the whistle, and some elite athletes on the outside boundaries Wr/DB that make it tough for opposing coaches to game plan.

This current staff has them playing with an edge and is a reason why I think most staffs can coach any kind of “culture” bc winning is the cure of it all. Hough is the best chance for a title coming back to Charlotte, so I’m rooting for y’all for once, don’t let me down.

Mooresville 11-1 at East Forsyth 12-0

Mooresville secondary has to play well but they are good enough and they did keep NWW held to 2 big plays tho. Mooresville has to clean up penalties as well but Mooresville D is good and How was the OL? Mooresville DL has been a wrecking crew
Not saying what the score will be. Mooresville is definitely a pretty good team. But East will have more than 2 big plays via the run or the pass.

West Stokes @ Monroe

Monroe fans don't have to post.. Honestly I'm on this site every year reading the post and enjoying them. I just joined to shut the Forest Hill Haters mouth. Nobody really knows anything about Monroe but what they hear and read. Monroe shoots them selves in the foot every year while making a deep run. This year I don't think that will happen. Good Luck to all the teams still playing.
You took the words out of my mouth. I just read the nonsense majority of the time.

Richmond VS Clayton Round 2

A long time NC coach (who will remain nameless) in the 70's and 80's commented on this phenomenon. One year, he went 10-0, won the conference and made a deep run in the playoffs. The next year, they went 1-9 and fans were asking for his head. He said than in a very brief span, he went from "God to goddam." Fans can be fickle. Quickly. Richmond will be OK. Too much tradition.
Correct. Coaches like Mark Richt at Georgia experienced similar highs and lows, where consistent seasons were followed by unexpected downturns, leading to calls for their dismissal despite their previous successes. This type of volatility can be attributed to heightened expectations from fans, who often equate a team’s recent performance with its historical legacy.

Richmond fan expects excellence. This creates pressure on hired coaches to maintain tradition and adapting to the evolving landscape of their history.

James Kenan @ WRH PART 2

When they were 1a, they were the best two 1a schools in the state. The 4yrs that they played with Tarboro, when Tarboro moved down to 1a, JK(1) and Wallace(3) won the state championship every year.
In our defense, that was also after we went to five straight 2a title games winning 3 of them. It was a big dip in talent when we moved down in 13. With that said, wish both teams an injury free game this week.

Mooresville 11-1 at East Forsyth 12-0

Mooresville only loss was to Reagan 34-28. East Forsyth beat Reagan 69-21. I don’t think East Forsyth will dominate Mooresville like that but Mooresville definitely will have to bring it to stay in the game.
I don't think this is a good comparison. Reagan had their QB in the Mooresville game. Their offense was a little bit different the rest of the season, especially against East in the 2nd game after his injury.
