CVAC 2024 - Round 2

Dear Maiden fans,

Welcome to Blanton Stadium friday, but we have some rules we need to remind you of...

1. You must wear store bought shoes
2. Grizz aint allowed to be wearing no tank tops and jorts in 32 degree weather...
3. Maiden Creek, I sent a pic to my former co-workers that will be working that gate you enter, and told them to check you for toothpick knives and airplane bottles...
4. No baccer chewing (unless you bring me a can or three of copenhagen then you are good.)

One livemush sammich per patron CREEK!!!!!!

Biggest rule of them all

5. If Lincolnton decides to make the trip, he must have his seat saved at the top of the visitors side (left hand if you are facing pressbox) and the entire top row is his, so he can have room to pace back and forth

All jokes aside, looking forward to what I honestly think will be a good, hard fought ball game.....Should be a barnburner... be safe gents.... You too Creek...

PS the poster above is correct it was 63-28 Rembert still threw for I believe 328 yards that night on us.....
No promises on my attire...but I promise my wife won't let me leave the house in jorts

Corvian?

I think all these charter and any non-public schools that can draw 25-plus miles away should eventually be in a playoff of their own in football and basketball. Once schools like Corvian start winning football State championships annually then we all will realize how unfair their advantage is. They need to be placed in a playoff of their own which I hear this said almost every year in football but mainly basketball.
Charter schools often have access to advanced training facilities and coaching staff that give them a major edge in competitions. And let's be real, it's not just about winning titles, but also the level of ease with which they do it.

#13 Forest Hills at #4 Randleman

I hope so. We lost our QB from the last two years but our QB who stepped in mid season has been putting up great numbers so will see.
The roundabouts were a great adventure last year. I might make several trips through them this year just for fun. 😆 🤣 😂
If you do, just get to the last roundabout at around 6:30 and keep driving in circles until 7. That'll tick all the Randleman fans off.

Tigers are pretty much the same team from last year. Minus their good middle linebacker. I think Forest Hills has their number. IF they get through all of those roundabouts, that is.....

What's in the name

We have several high schools across the state named after folks. Some after politicians, local leaders/activist, and legends.

But what's in the name? I'm curious to know about many of the schools named after folks and who those folks where if anyone has some history to share.

Add schools with a name not associated with a county or city as well.

Final ADM Numbers - 11/19 - 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A

These arguements are SO lame. Everybody and I mean EVERYBODY knows Shelby is scared and Reidsville does not have a cupcake schedule. Not to mention the fact: There is no way Shelby can catch us and SL and 2nd and TD knows it. Now that's settled, don't want to hear any more about it!!!!!
Well there it is….its a done deal.

The feud is over!

Let’s break bread and eat!

Keep turning right is the key…
Ok truth be told I spent better part of one Friday night just going round and round and round…
I will say that would make for one fun footrace. All three roundabouts and back. Especially when intoxicated. And then, you'd have the Waffle House right there at the finish.

Question

In the west I give ER the best chance to knock off the Bears. I watched MH against Draughn and don't think their defense will match up with the Bears athletes.
Saw the Bears vs Elkin I don't think the Bears d match up well with our athletes, Erwin is a much more athletic team than Mt. Airy alot bigger too and we beat them, Starmount is closer to Erwin than Mount Airy.

CVAC 2024 - Round 2

66 to 28 Shelby
Not that it really matters, but I believe the final score of that game was 63-28, not 66. Maiden has played Shelby five times that I know of, and the Blue Devils are 0-5 in those games. Only one of the five games has been competitive, a 14-7 loss in 1998. Maiden had the ball and on the final play of the game threw about a 30 yard pass into the end zone. It looked like our receiver had a decent chance to make the catch, but the Shelby safety came over at the last instant and made a good play on the ball, batting it to the ground. Not sure of the exact scores in the four blowout losses, but I think they're somewhere in the neighborhood of 47-13 and 42-8, both at Maiden. The 14-7 and 63-28 games were at Shelby. Those games were all conference games when Shelby and Maiden were in a combined 1A/2A conference. Maiden played at Shelby in the 2019 2A playoffs and lost. I believe it was 49-7, but I could be wrong.
