If the predictors pick do Mitchell by lot instead of like a by 3 or something just giving the home field advantage ( that is if they pick Mitchell at all) then maybe they should start doing something else. I see two close teams, even Robbinsville's stats doesn't reflect their best RB ether not playing or playing hurt for some games.

So is this game at Mitchell or robbinsville ? I was gonna go watch Shelby play east surry but I believe it’s just gonna be like last weeks game against Reidsville..... freaking Shelby is just a different animal for 2a football
At Mitchell...the Shelby - Reidsville game showed you can always go by past games. Looking at from that point of view last week before the game you'd think Reidsville may have had the advantage.. Hendersonville beat Burns 38-13 while just two weeks earlier Shelby just beat them 16-14 and then Reidsville beat Hville 50-35.

I doubt there will be a blowout in this game. Both hit some bumps earlier in the season, both are hitting on all cylinders, both have almost identical stats, both have a chip on the shoulder. Mitchell wants to prove they can beat an SMC team when it counts, and Robbinsville wants to prove that subclasses don't mean a hill of beans. Mitchell won't give up a big lead like North Rowan, and Robbinsville won't self implode like Mount Airy. Buckle up, it's yet another all-wnc western final!
Robbinsvilles highest rushing total in a game during the spring season was 380yds.

Been there all season. Hes a freshman. Got a shot to play due to an injury and stepped up his game.
I have a feeling this game may come down to the final possession. Two teams that play very similar style football. Who will be the toughest, and who can make the fewest mistakes.
Anyone else think its funny how everyone was saying that the new unified 1a playoff bracket would make it nearly impossible for the small schools to advance? Same people picked Eastern Randolph by 29 over Murphy lol.

Bk your freshman and sophomores are better than most 1a teams seniors. Black knights are definitely the favorites. Black knights will figure out how to stop the qb dive plays...and I haven't seen Mitchell do much else other than that the last 2 weeks so I say robbinsville by 14. But pulling for Mitchell.
Mitchell is the favorite. Seeded higher, and the game is on their home field. Your only argument that you are the underdog is your record against the SMC
I usually don't point fingers on some Bull on this site, but yall robbinsville posters sandbag all the time lol 😂😂😂 This mitchell squad has kept me on my toes all season, but they have improved every single game. I'm sure the same with rville. Who knows what will happen Friday night. All I know is that its gonna be a dandy in ledger! Mitchell by 3.
If you look back our overall record vs smc isn’t that bad. The problem has been in the regional finals. But when you get this far you’re playing a great team. I got a good feeling about this one.
BK they call you for hurricane warnings to refill sandbags, if you were a golfer you would be hated for your bs handicap (much like deerhunters). I think Robbinsville will be favored and I think if you all were being honest you wanted this match up because you think you have an advantage. With all that being said I won't sandbag. Had Murphy on the ropes up there. Slade took over that game in 2nd half and Mitchell defense had no answer. I think the game changer was the decision to go for it on 4th down near 50. Mitchell had been pinning Murphy deep in their own territory for the most part. Murphy held and took over on downs. That was a huge moment in the game imo.
2019 Swain were co Champs I believe. Mitchell beat the brakes off them in the 3rd round. There is no question that there is a "hump" Mitchell is going to have to get over. Same with Heritage. They got that out of the way, now for the SMC. I think this may be the year. If the Mountaineers can get past a Murphy or a Robbinsville in the western final, they will win a championship. But as of right now, the hump is still there, and we shall see friday.
IMO, our line wore down in the 4th in that game, and Murphy's didn't. Mitchell had 2 td's called back. One on a punt return for holding (a call I will never argue with), and one for roughing the passer on a pick 6 (it was a bum call, but it is what it is).

The one that hurt the most was 2018 against Murphy, Mitchell had a pick 6 the would have won the game called back for roughing in the passer then after the game a local newspaper photographer's photo confirmed what I saw the QB getting tackled with the ball still in his hand.
Quick question: why do yall claim to be the underdog, but then explain in detail on why the SMC is Mitchell's daddy, and give 100 reasons why Robbinsville will win friday?
I don’t think I’ve give a reason why Robbinsville will win. Yes by everything you can see we are the underdog. We are having to travel 2+Hours and Mitchell is the higher seed. How can we not be the underdog in this matchup? You guys were the underdog last year
