West Caldwell At Newton-Conover

Surprising score. Obviously West let the players play that got in trouble. Win at all cost mentality. No coaches or players stepped up to the plate on that one. And before someone like icardcav says anything about proof... I have friends who work at west and who work for the Lenoir PD. Yes they stole and should not have played. That's a bad example to set. Guess football is more important than that. But at least they beat a decent team for the first time this year. Good for them

It looks like a people on here need a baby bottle the kids wasnt charged so how can u punish them. West football program is on the rise and people cant stand it but one thing for sure nobodys option on here really matters so keep talking about the coaching staff and the kids all u want and west will just continue to get better.

Since you know so much who was the kids that got caught? And idk how a south fan can say anything about kids getting in trouble remember a few years ago when your players painted our s

Cpark, I agree people should be charged and punished for breaking the law. In this case,
if there were truly no charges filed, school officials would have no grounds to punish. Think about
it.... the police were there and didn't charge, school officials and coaches weren't there
but you feel they should do something? Be sure if these kids are thugs they will soon mess
up again. If they are good kids and made a bad mistake, maybe this will teach them a lesson.

This still doesn't take away from the game,,,,I am very curious as to why N-C switched to the card system...the team was very off with each other as there were so many false start penalties...the play calling was questionable also..I know the weather played into it alot but every week they are late getting plays in and the ball is snapped with 1 second left on the play clock which makes it very easy for linebackers to blitz the play...West played great mistake free football and N-C didn't...I believe that West and Maiden will be a great game for 3rd in conference behind Lincolnton and East Lincoln...

I tried to tell people not to overlook WC, they have had key injuries in their first two games, not only Tucker but Eligah Brooks who had a big game last night as well a a couple other key starters. Their offense is explosive when healthy.

I'm not trying to act like they murdered someone but if you think that getting caught stealing doesn't deserve punishment cav then you're a moron. Simple as that. It has nothing to do with WC kids. That is something for any person in general. And Lenoir PD is a joke? I have nothing to really say to that except I'm sure you are someone who couldn't handle their job so you sit back and say stuff like you have on here and prove what a backwoods idiot sounds like. Get over the fact of WC winning this game and you acting like it has this big effect on us fans. Nobody cares about WC being on the rise or whatever you are saying. West hasn't mattered in football in over a decade and nobody is worried about them. Nice win for them but look at their schedule..you have good teams who will demolish them like EL then awful teams like Bandys. So they will beat who they should then lose to who they should. Nothing else to know about them. So for you to think people are worried about them is funny. You have to win more than 4 games a year in the past 10 years for people to worry about your program. Still the 3rd best team in a 3 school county. Enough said.

This was a good game in spite of it being played under tough conditions. Both teams have speed and offensive lines that can make creases for fast running backs.

Both defenses had trouble stopping the other but with West Caldwell's Harper and Newton-Conover's Stinson, it's little wonder.

The Newton-Conover stadium is a great place to take in a game. You're situated close to the action and even an old head, like me, with only one fairly good ear can sometimes hear what's being said. This was the first time I'd paid any attention to West Caldwell's coach. This guy is surely involved. He puts everything he's got into every play. I wonder how his voice holds up. By the time he gets home he has to be exhausted. I hope the WC administration realizes that he definitely earns his pay.

The SD-7 is going to be something to watch, this season. After East Lincoln, there are four teams who I believe could take second place. So, congratulations to the Warriors and their posters and fans. I have to admit I was kind of pulling for the Red Devils because of a relative who grew up there and was a staunch fan and supporter all of his life, and because of GDG, but they'll move on and focus on Maiden and the devils' bowl, next Friday.

Police get in your way and are a joke? Haha...i have no comment back. You do enough so that I don't have to. Take it easy and start talking about football a little more if you know how to discuss the games since all it seems you do is try to stir up arguments.

Im not the one on here crying about some kids supposedly! Getting in trouble and still playing football im not the one upset cause west football is finally playing good.

Ok I understand both sides but kick them off send them to do move of the same or let the coaches be a father figure and it be a teaching moment. If they don't learn then boot them.

Every fanbase has crybabies, good luck to N-C , I know that got some classy fans also. I think this was a weekend sweep for WC winning both JV and varsity games and that also is an indication of the future considering the many freshmen and sophomores that are on the varsity . I honestly think both teams lack defense. And besides, wouldn't you rather play a team at full strength as opposed to beating a shorthanded team thus letting that team be able to say "hey, you only won because we didn't have some of our players". I would want to face a team with their best players

Oh Matty has had a few players play in games when they should have been sit down for trouble they got into.

One last thing on this game, I wanted to say kudos to the Newton-Conover special cheering section. I don't know if these are students or alumni or maybe both but they do cheer for their team. They also do a good rendition of "this is how we roll", and they know how to claim BS (not abridged or abbreviated) on a holding penalty, and this was observing from the visitors side. :)

Lincolnton, our "SuperFans" are top notch, rivaled in Catawba County only by St. Stephens student section. As for the BS chant, they actually are saying "Push It" and signal this by pushing their hands forward when they do it, although they have gotten into some trouble at some events with officials who do not understand what they are really saying... A few weeks ago at a volleyball game the school was having trouble with the gym sound system and couldn't get the National Anthem to play so the SuperFans took over and sang it. Pretty awesome and our new principal was beyond impressed. We are actually going to make that a staple of our basketball games this year, the National Anthem will be sung by our student section!

Sogapirate, thanks for the information on the super fans. They were very impressive and they always seemed to be in sync. Sorry about misunderstanding what they were saying after the penalty. A big thumbs up for the super fans.

hey RetardCav, a "volunteer" fireman isn't a real job.

I can't believe you could actually work within a real fire department with your spelling and grammar skills.

So talk smack about the police and then get offended when some talks smack about your profession.

No worries about the misunderstanding, I misunderstood the first time I heard it as well. LOL
