Big game tonight at Cherryville.

Lincoln Charter comes in with a 16-4 record and a six game winning streak, while Cherryville is 11-6 on the season.

Kody Shubert has been averaging 20 points per game for Lincoln Charter.

Three of the losses for Cherryville have come at home so far this season. The Ironman hope to bounce back after a tough loss two days ago against West Lincoln (64-61)

In the 1A Yadkin Valley, North Moore vs East Montogomery is another game to watch.

North Moore comes in with a 10-4 record but is 3-0 in conference play. East Montgomery has only lost two games all season, but they came in conference play (12-2 overall).

East Montgomery has to get this win to stay close in contention for the conference. It will be hard to get back into it with three losses so early on.

Hiwassee Dam at Hayesville is the game of the night on the girls side in my opinion. Hayesville is 13-4 with seniors going to Liberty and Mercer. Hiwassee Dam may not have the d1 hoops recruits, but they've got a few girls going to college on scholarship for other sports, and they're a deep 17-1 team that beat Hayesville pretty handily the first time around and has some other impressive wins (6A Shiloh,GA, private school power Rabun Gap, a blowout over SPC 2nd-place Lincoln Charter). The first game was at Hiwassee Dam, which is a tough place to play, so I'm expecting the rematch at Hayesville to be a closer game.

Manteo (8-4) vs Plymouth (10-2)

Teams rank near the top of the 1A Coastal. Both teams come in on a four game winning streak and are hoping to stay at the top of the conference.

Plymouth is 4-0 at home.

Weldon (14-2) vs Louisburg (8-6)

Looking at the records, it looks like Weldon could take this one easily. But Louisburg has won three straight and is 3-1 in conference play.

If they get this win, they will be on top of the 1A Tar Roanoke conference. Weldon though has won seven straight and is playing at home.

One other game to watch for is Bishop McGuinness and East Surry.

This will be a solid game in the 1A Northwest.. both teams come in at 13-5 on the season.

East Surry is at 5-2, one game behind Winston-Salem Prep with their huge win in their last game. But to continue that and stay in contention, they will have to get this win tonight.

In the YVC West Girls Albemarle (9-4 4-1) @ Graystone (11-3 4-0). Albemarle lost the first matchup missing 2 starters and another just getting cleared that day from a stress fracture. Graystone is big with 3 6' girls and a couple others at 5'10. Albemarle is finally healthy and has won 7 straight. Should be a good game.
