Oh I misunderstood.Neither. I refer to the current staff as the new one. He won’t be fired, nor should he be. One year isn’t enough to evaluate a coach.

Nothing would totally surprise me about Thomasville City Schools these days. But I don’t have any reason to think that will happen. The disciplinary issues are real. I would hope that the win/loss record wouldn’t be a reason to take any action this soon.Oh I misunderstood.
A lack of discipline certainly contributed to his departure. But it had nothing to do with the kids’ discipline. The disciplinary issue is probably one of the reasons Gillespie "retired".
that's bad inexperienced clueless coaching for you. Brown or Gillespie and his staff could have taken that same team and had a winning season.Sloppy game and penalties killed them. Played into the Rville plan running up the middle and off tackle too much against that big DL. Waited until Rville had a long scoring drive to adjust to the B gap dive and off tackle run. Did not use their speed and cannot complete a pass to save their lives.
If that were true one of them would still be coaching. Shouldn't have burnt bridges with Benjie since you love the Browns so much.that's bad inexperienced clueless coaching for you. Brown or Gillespie and his staff could have taken that same team and had a winning season.
Benjie was going to come back a few years ago but the school board messed that up. If you think that this flag football coach is that right guy for the job, you are clueless. If that were true one of them would still be coaching. You’re mostly right about Benjie. But it was another board, not the school board, that nixed the opportunity. While I very much wanted Benjie at that point, I believe he would have followed through with his retirement plans and would only have coached for two years. So maybe not the best long term solution.Benjie was going to come back a few years ago but the school board messed that up. If you think that this flag football coach is that right guy for the job, you are clueless.
That's why I said "shouldn't have burned bridges with Benjie."Benjie was going to come back a few years ago but the school board messed that up. If you think that this flag football coach is that right guy for the job, you are clueless.
Only two teams that you say barley beat us Andrews and north rowan. What coaching experience dose George have and how much since you seem to like the way this guy called plays. That's why I said "shouldn't have burned bridges with Benjie."
Didn't say he was but I want stability. Looking for coaches every two-three years wont fix anything. For the most part fix the offense and the team is fine. Defense was solid for the most part. If we go 4-7 again I'll on the fire the coach bandwagon. If you think coach George is a flag football coach then that shows how clueless you are. It also says alot about our opponents coaches considering many barely beat us.
imma say it again. dude was hired a week before the season practices started! Anyone who has played high school football knows that every other team already has had their offense installed for months at that point! You know how deep we were into our offensive playbook by the time camp started in 04? We started in January with weights and then by march we were all on running different plays, not to mention his system had already been around forever!! Anybody who expected a team that lost as much players as they lost to graduation and hired a coach that late to have a grand season needs to reevaluate their own expectations. Me personally looking at that timeframe didnt expect them to win a game personally! I have people that will tell you i said he wouldnt win a game just like i'd been on record saying even before Gillespie left that this season would not be one of our best seasons. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the defense. Im interested to see how it all comes together after having a full offseason.Only two teams that you say barley beat us Andrews and north rowan. Yes, this team had some talent, heck, i've been watching them since they were playing flag. Me personally looking at that timeframe didnt expect them to win a game personally! WD, and Lexington too. I couldn't make it to the WD but from the game tracker it was tied 0-0 at half. WD only scored a TDs late in the 3rd and forth quarter. Think we lost our QB week before in the Salisbury game, that might have played a part in the offense. We were up 20-10 on Lexington. Players got frustrated after they scored 17 then the kick return that kid should have let go flipped the whole game. Could have had the ball on the 40 yard line and ran the clock out, scored, or pined them on the 20 yard line or better. Keep in mind both Lexington and WD had the best teams they had in a while.Only two teams that you say barley beat us Andrews and north rowan. I agree. I believe the paid staff was implementing decisions made by the school board.Once again, HR, the board and the admin team are responsible for what has happened. They had a window of several months to hire someone but sat on it and got what they got. Now time will tell if the Dogs can turn it back to winning after leaving the current CCC. Football is not the only sport that is or will be on the struggle bus due to the loss of entire coaching staffs and good teachers.
Ran into some random THS students at a store and asked them how school was going and one of them an honor student and athlete said, "it is a mess as usual".I agree. I believe the paid staff was implementing decisions made by the school board.
