The Mountain Week 9 Predictions and Power Rankings

The regular season is winding down and the playoff picture is becoming clearer. Barring a big upset, Reynolds will be the conference champion with Asheville 2nd and Roberson 3rd (4A). In 3A, Erwin has the inside track despite losing to all the 4A schools so far.

Enka @ North Buncombe- Both teams are unlikely to make the playoffs and are playing for pride. North Buncombe will be looking for their first win since the spring 2021 season and it should be a close game. Enka has just a little too much in the end and the streak continues.

Erwin @ Roberson- Can Erwin spring the upset? Roberson was close to beating Asheville last week and can't let that loss beat them twice. This has the makings of a shootout and I think TC has more weapons.

Asheville @ McDowell- Can McDowell keep it close? Asheville has too many weapons and too much speed for the Titans. McDowell will look to play ball control with their running game but Asheville is too strong on defense.

Hey Titan, been awhile since traveling to McDowell HS. Does everyone park in the same lot and enter or is there a visitor gate?

Hey Titan, been awhile since traveling to McDowell HS. Does everyone park in the same lot and enter or is there a visitor gate?

Everyone usually parks in the big lot above the football field adjacent to the high school. There are 14 or 15 rows where you can park there but crowds have been bigger than normal this year so may want to get there a little early.

Can’t wait to come there and see the new field and track. Haven’t been there since the old grass field and pavement track was there.
