SW Randolph at Providence Grove

That was a tough, tough, tough way to lose a ball game.

These two teams are about as evenly matched as they come. SWR had two big plays that ended up being the difference makers. The first was Adam Smith's long interception return in the first quarter. This led to, a few plays later, Noah Stills connecting with Marcus Robertson for the first TD of the game.

The second big play was Nathan Ellis's long punt return down the right sideline. SWR was down 9-8 at that point and that gave the Cougars some huge momentum. A few plays later, Ellis ran it in to put the Cougs back on top. Stills then hit Ellis with a short pass to complete the two-point conversion. SWR was up 16-9 when PG began their final drive.

Penalties really hurt PG a lot more than that missed extra point.
