Not going to lie this Salisbury defense scares me ..something like 11 out of 15 games teams held under ten points ... some coaches saying unreal front 7

This is a great point, as I have researched their schedule, however still a bit concerning... We protect Bess I feel like we win comfortably
and there is zero doubt they have faced anyone this season with the athletes we have....
Yep, I was in the barbershop Monday, and was told they were very athletic, with just as you mentioned, a great front 7. You mainly have that one certain group of posters that’s calling them weak, and that’s only because we are playing them, just trying to downplay our victory in advance, if we do in fact win as expected.
I was impressed with Salisbury’s victory over Randleman, they held them to 7 points, a Randleman team who beat Morehead 42-0, the same exact score godly Reidsville did.
Salisbury doesn’t score a lot, though, and you must be able to score points to threaten this Shelby team.

Totally agree, it just may be a little more competitive than many think, though. I read earlier in this thread where @Champ_24 mentioned Salisbury having athletes to compete, dude has good credibility on here with me. He’s right more often than not. I’m thinking Salisbury’s D is legit.

Again, though, Salisbury doesn’t score much, and the Shelby D has stood out more so than anything this postseason. People talk about the offense, which it is deserving of its praise, but it’s the play that D that has really gotten my attention in the playoffs. Both sides have been impressive.
We're averaging about 47 a game in playoffs and giving up 8 per game
Offensively we are averaging about 175 rushing and 228 passing in playoffs or 403 yards per game nearly 7 per play
Defensively we are giving up 101 yards rushing and 74 passing for 175 per game at 3.8 yards per play
Hope we continue that playoff success
Somethings gonna give in the morning beginning around 11am.... I don't think by any means this game will be a cakewalk for us...
Have this same energy Sunday night after Northeastern exposes Reidsville.
Sunday night is for pasta, so that probably wont happen.
I've seen them twice this year. They are athletic and they can lay the wood. Also their secondary wins most of the 1 on 1s with receivers. With that being said, its alot easier covering receivers from Oak Grove, ND, and Ledford, those receivers from Shelby is a whole different animal. They are will stout against the run. Their Lbs and DL are in sink. 1 issue I did noticed, because they defense is so aggressive, they tend over commit ALOT. May not hurt against Davidson county schools, but against Shelby it will be a huge gain or TD. Giving the weather elements, this definitely plays into Salisbury favor. This game is truly intriguing. Still think Shelby wins. Just think this will be Shelby's toughest opponent this post season

Maybe it wasn't in the budget for traveling to Texas to play 6AA.
Plus Shelby is up the road and makes for good practice game.

At that time Vance decided to look for somebody else since Lance never committed..
Now this out of coach Wilbanks mouth tonight
When i became coach i called Vance at that point they went ahead and scheduled another team..
So we are not scared..I will tell u coach Wilbanks doesn't feel we have anything to gain playing 4a.
He does want to schedule a very good 2a to see where we are early on....
