Logan ran for 510 yards 8 touchdowns against Charlotte Catholic in that state game lmao that was ridiculous
that’s what I was thinking but i couldn’t remember without looking it up and I didn’t look it up. Seen him play crest his sophomore year and he was crazy good then. He set that record his senior year.
Congrats burns. Great football team. Good luck pulling for ya. You know the last two loses for hibriten in th playoffs were to eventual state champions!!
Got a chance to congratulate Pryor as we were walking from the field.... Very nice and considerate young man... Hope he continues at the next level

Just got home. That was fun. Pryor continues to amaze me. Offensive line blocked great. I felt like our Defensive line knocked Hibriten back all night. Congrats on another great year Hibriten. We may see you guys for the next several years in the playoffs. Now we have another tall task next week. Go dawgs!!
Just got home! Absolutely fantastic trip to Hibriten.. The Smokin Hogs BBQ place was a great pregame meal! Then we get to the stadium and first thing I said was this place is really cool.. Great stadium & atmosphere.. And the people at Hibriten were as nice as can be!! Brought my dad all the way to the gate in a golf cart & back to the car as well!
As for the game... Pryor was just amazing tonight.. Hibriten, like most teams this year, just had no counter for him... Glad we have another game next week.. As for Hibriten, the pregame entrance coming out of the woods was really cool... Was really impressed with QB #8... Kid can throw the football and had the speed to escape pressure & out run defenses... And I mentioned this earlier but #30 on defense for Hibriten showed great sportsman all night (would love to know his name)... Multiple times I saw him helping Burns kids up after the play, even when they were down big...
Congrats to Hibriten on a great year, 11-2 is nothing to be ashamed of at all!... And I'm quite sure this won't be the last playoff game between Burns & Hibriten, both will be good for a while!!

One more thing... With all the early in the week talk about the visitors side seating at Hibriten, I actually thought it was really cool... Yes we were packed in there like sardines, but man it made for a great atmosphere.. Reminded me of Franklin... And Burns Twitter you probably don't realize it but you talked to me at halftime... Asked me about #30 and his fumble recovery
By the way, Burns only punted once tonight & had one turnover on a fumble very late in the 4th... Every other possession ended up in points
And that punt which we muffed was the turning point of what had been a back and forth 1st qtr.... At the time it was 14-14 and we were probably looking to get the ball at or near midfield.
We would have had to score every possession to have stayed in the game. We wasn't stopping Pryor.
You know WC if you would let the animosity go and roll with the transfers, like Cleveland Cty fans do then just maybe we could have good banter back and forth like they do. Your a hater, always happy when HHS loses! Transfers happen everywhere you have to build a program then a transfer want decimate your team. Burns, Shelby and Crest are always on each other but they for most part do it classily! They no kids are gonna go back and forth to better suit them. Like I said before if a kid strolls into WC that lives in Lower Creek you think Big is gonna turn him down. Roll with it bro, build a program and let’s make Caldwell Cty relevant in football....
Congrats to coach Devine and coach cogdill and of course to the Dogs . These young men really stepped up it was like the 2016 game in reverse. When Pryor was a 9th grader he ran a punt back against polk county in the jamboree and everyone knew he was gonna be special.
Congrats Burns. Offensive line did a great job, and Pryor is the best RB I 've seen play this year. Well coached football team!
As for Hibriten, 11 and 2 is great considering a coach change and loss of key players. Should be even better next year! Qb and receivers are good and will only get better.

The QB from Hibriten can throw a good ball. If they incorporate a little more of that next year, they will be even more dangerous. I think we'll have a small rivalry between us two the next several years.
Hibriten brings back 9 starters on defense and 9 starters on offense. JV has lost one game by 2 points in 2 years.
Burns will lose Pryor and a couple other key players. However, the handful of freshman we have playing defense will flip sides of the ball next year and looks to fill in nicely. Our JV team won conference and our middle school has won back to back conference titles. I hope all of this bodes well for our future.
I agree but if could of gotten the lead it makes momentum swing... We only punted once as well so it wasn’t as if they were completely shutting us down.
JV lost 1 game last year and one this year... Lost to JM Robinson to open up 2018 42-38 and Alexander Central this year 8-0
Honestly, the fumble on the punt return was huge!! You could feel a Hibriten surge before that, then the fumble on the pitch to RB and it was game over. Im not saying Hibriten would've won, but a totally different game had the punt returner not have goofed.... should've called a fair catch
Hibriten needs to schedule Freedom for an early non conf game. This would be a nice matchup and would keep travel at a minimum. Freedom should be decent next season.
Hibriten has a coach who has a rep to be a defensive specialist. And the D their has been really good for quite a while. That Pryor kid ate them alive. I knew he was good and thought Burns would win, but not like that. Pryor was like a jack rabbit on steroids. Probably one of the best single game proformance I've seen.
TJ Logan's record in the state championship should have an asterisk beside it. The asterisk should read

Overshadowed by Pryor’s 413 yards and three touchdowns is the fact this was a great game until Hibriten started turning the ball over. We couldn’t stop them at first. But then the Bulldog defense forced four turnovers and we cashed them into 24 points, and the rout was on. We advance to the third round for the first time since 2012. Thanks for all the congratulations.
Honestly thought you were someone else! You should always put family first. Maybe your son will help them turn corner! We get tired of hearing from some of the others about taking their players. Right or wrong it’s not gonna stop. It happens to each school in a different sport! I’ve pulled for WC on more than 1 occasion in basketball regionals and finals and we all should if not playing each other!!!!
It want be long you can start pulling for the warriors in more regional games in basketball cause their on their way back to the top
