Round 2: Burns @ Hibriten

HECK beamer i think the whole dang team is going to be a problem,, a little concerned about this one. Mackey made good adjustments to a great running back last friday night but we cant let this one run as freely this week. I really think this might be a great game but the panthers are going to have to play flawless football for 4 quarters and i cant remember that happening this year. Wilkes o line manhandled our d line,, they used our speed getting up the field against us...It sure would be nice if hibriten could get #27 back,, they need his speed and tackling ability out there.
I think he out indefinitely. Seems like #26 or #44 could be used more on defense but not sure.

According to Carolina Preps Hibriten has a 7,000 seating capacity. It doesn't break down Home and Away.

West Rowan had very cool seating in the end zone for regional finals against hibriten in 10 ,, Be cool to do something like that ... Problem is the only time we ever have big crowds is 3 times a year at most,,those are playoff games and mostly teams from cleveland county. South point also brings a crowd but those too are playoffs.. Maybe cleveland county schools could do a fund raiser next year to supply bleachers at hibriten for the 21/22 year. That would be nice, but then the red raiders, lions, and bulldogs wouldnt have anything to bitch about... woops no wait,, get enough for the scoreboard, and some play clocks... woops no wait,,, we probably will be 3A next go round and will need to get some of that Charlotte Catholic money....

NCHSAA Hosting of Playoffs and Championships:
In order to host NCHSAA Playoffs (Recommended for regular season) in any sport, member schools’ facilities must:
(1) Have measures in place that ensure the safety and protection of the well-being of all participants and spectators;
(2) Maintain seating for participants and spectators, with one-third (1/3) of the available seating reserved for the visiting team’s spectators.

Then it should be about 4,690 on the home side and 2,310 on the visitors side but at Hibriten I have my doubts

There is plenty of seating at HHS. It may not be on the "visitors" side but there is seating.
I sat on the home side in 2016 and even though the game was out of hand early the fans were very complimentary and respectful...really nice folks. If memory serves me correct Pryor played corner. Aaron Hill was our feature back then and was a dang good one but played the last half of his senior year really banged up. Pryor will be in the spotlight Friday night and its gonna be a great game.

Nice lady at the concession stand told me when I went to get my money that most people from around here donate half of it back to HHS......I said but I'm not from around here......:p

Now see... that could have been a good donation for new seating on the visitors side.... Couple years when we are 3a and KM comes to town dont be complaining about seating,,, you could have made the difference!!!:D

All joking aside Hibriten needs to contact David Johnson (Hibriten alumini) owner of Cars Plus and ask him to purchase visitor bleachers. Could hang a giant Cars Plus sign at top of bleachers. The Hibriten area has been very good to him!

I know Cars Plus sponsors Panther athletics but this would be a gigantic show of support. And before anyone says how much it would cost, believe me, they have it!

Welcome to the used car capitol of the world!!! Used car sales is soon to be a class at Caldwell Community College..

We used to be the Furniture Capital of the World:(
yes... back in the day when you crossed the Caldwell County line coming from Burke there was a sign that said Welcome to Caldwell County, Furniture Capital of the World. This was years ago but I remember well.

Cal Preps has Burns by 10 on a neutral field.
Simmons is probably going to have Burns by about 4.

Burns guys, what should we expect to see out of your qb?? I have seen enough to know the rb is a stud.. Does the qb run it as well?

The QB can run it some and he generally spins it well....sometimes he rock solid and other time he can be errant and miss open receivers on his throw. He is a solid QB and does enough to win ballgames no doubt about it. I still the the biggest X factor for Burns is our D...mostly the line getting off block to help tackle well. 44 will probably be a handful for your line. Not sure what kind of o-line y’all have.

who should be expect big games from for y’all? I understand it’s a RB by committee approach.

qb is our best athlete in my opinion.. He has a nice arm and is probably one of the faster runners on the team. He is tough and runs hard for a qb. We do have quit a few backs whom all carry the ball, none as fast as gee was,,, Key for our offense will be 1st down, we need to be in 2nd and short to make our offense productive. I like our different looks on offense, espically with qb in the gun. Defense is solid but your running back will get his yards and scores,, seem to have a bend not break kinda defense,, kids play hard and generally have good attitudes..

I am not sure what kinda line we have either ??? Sometimes its really good,, sometimes not so good... Wilkes central did a great job blocking our defensive line last week, but mackey seems to change the d line a lot. Hibrtiten is not very deep in skill positions, however they do seem to have decent back ups on lines... I think this will be a very competitive game, but hibriten is very young and may still be one year away.. One thing is for sure mackey will have them coached up and playing hard..
