REIDSVILLE AT EASTERN ALAMANCE

Oh yeah I’m not saying this because of this game. I said EA would win this game once I heard about more injuries this week but it’s still early. This could possibly be what they needed to turn it around.

Widerman is a big one. Going to need him back to have any shot. He would have also been key for short yardage plays, as cobb isn't 100% either. I do like Ea though; they used their physicality to ice the game away. They are a good 3rd or 4th round team.

What injury does Widerman have and how long is he expected to be out?

Ram fans need to note that Eastern Alamance is now 15-2 over the last two seasons and the only regular season loss in that span was to Reidsville. Eagles are a senior dominated team that is ranked in the top 15 of 3A. Also note that Western Alamance upset previously undefeated Eastern Guilford Friday night to move to 3-1 with the only loss to Reidsville.
Sure the Rams could have played better on the road in Mebane but there's too much gloom and doom in some of the commentary in this forum. Hopefully this loss will serve as a valuable learning experience for a team that is still putting the pieces together with newcomers filling many of the key roles.

I agree, all is not lost

I just hope he gets healthy. I hate seeing kids get hurt, especially during their senior year.
I've heard he may be back after the open date ... so maybe against McMichael on 9-29.

Listening to this forum you would think Reidsville hasn’t won a game. It doesn’t matter what happens right now out of conference. They will go undefeated during conference and make a deep run and probably be in the title game again. It’s one game against a better team. That’s it. Nothing more nothing less. I’m not a reidsville fan but they have talent and they will be fine!!!

I'm ok with a loss, it might not even be the worst thing for us right now, but losing by 5 points when you went scoreless in the red zone 5 times hurts.

Both Widerman (high ankle sprain) and Neal (shoulder) are expected back after the bye week, meaning if they can get by at N. Forsyth next Friday the Rams should be healthy baring further injuries.

Playing without Neal hurts because he provides much needed leadership to the team and is a great DB and WR.

Apparently some posters don't seem to realize that players cannot suit up unless the Dr. releases them to play.

I think the redd injury is very huge as well. He could’ve been starting safety and we know he can play olb. But can’t talk about that one too much, as he won’t be back. But I think once we get on the upswing we will be fine, not like we got blown out

Of course we will be fine because the rest of our schedule is a cake walk. We won’t know if we have improved until playoffs. When there is actual resistance from better teams

I said fine cause I’m expecting us to be healthy, not cause of the competition

Reidsville right outside of Greensboro, not like it’s in the complete middle of no where
Wasn't really referring to Greensboro... as its not really a city that's synonymous with fashion.
I was mostly just messing around. But, yes its considered pretty dated at this point.

N. Forsyth will not be a cake walk. Forsyth County has open enrollment and North did a very good job recruiting since last year.

Everything that happened last night is all apart of football. My only concern is not kicking field goals when it’s 4th down in the red zone

I do agree that two good teams can make each other appear worse than they are, however it was Reidsville’s players body language that shocked me. There seemed to be no urgency or effort (effort isn’t the right word, because I do believe they were trying)

There were several players who stepped up in the absence of some star players, Drvin Shryock being the main one. Kendre got hurt in the first half and was slowd down by thay for the rest of the game but managed to push through to the end of the game.

After watching the highlights you guys will be fine. The game could have went either way and you guys definitely have a lot of talent on the field

Imagine a fan base that calls for the head of a coach and talks down about high school kids because they lost by 5 points to a top 10 3A school while missing a couple of key players.

Spoiled rotten I tell ya!

Let’s just say they best win state with this talent or it won’t be good. So far the talent has shown flashes but poor play designs in key moments have really held the team back. Like first and goal at the 1 and 4 straight pass plays. That won’t get it done at any level . Just ask the Seahawks

This team simply is not very good at blocking at a consistent level it seems. Technique is piss poor and guys just stand around.
