Butchee had been in coaching. Not sure anymore. I will say this about him, if I were in a foxhole I'd want butchee in there fighting with me. A warrior.
Brown went to a juco in Georgia. Didn't stay. Came back to reidsville
Oh yeah, will this thread just go away. We played Jordan Mathews last week.
Anthony crews tyrell houghton and Ray Ray Butchee are the 3 best QB hands down
i can promise you this is not the best team ever and I have a son that plays on this Reidsville Teams. But this Reidsiteam is good.

No the difference is a 50 min drive to watch a game that's going to be running clock the 2nd half in windy cold weather.
The thing that I like about this team is that they do not have any players labeled as stars. Everyone can play and they take care of their individual assignments.
I really like the wr's have to be like 7 or 8 in the rotation. Hill is going to be the go to guy next year.
Thank you for just being objective. We aren't saying we are any better than anyone. We've said many times, if Shelby or anyone else beats us, we'll shake hands and tip our hats.

We know that you do not have that much power here. Now those posters on the 4A board that cuss, belittle, trash talk another person....they hold the power (for some reason).
Now Lion....don't sugar coat it...gotta tell it like it is. This year's defense is one of the best defenses Shelby High School has ever had...quite possibly the best. In order to be beaten, the other team has to put up points. This defense is having none of that. All season, our starting offense and defense have only had to average scoring one touchdown a game to win the game. I like our chances....against anyone.

I think the only way you can compare is to look at average points per game given up in a season and the records that are being broken. Looks like '76 was the most recent fewest points allowed on average in a season at 4.8. The '85 defense also only gave up 4.8 pts per game. '86 was 4.9. Our defense has only given up 33 points in the first 3 quarters of every game. Most if not all of the starters have been sitting by the start of the 4th quarter. 33 points over 9 games comes to 3.6 pts per game. Dax Hollifield is currently setting the "Most Tackles in a Career" record which would be indicative that he could be the best defensive player to ever put on a Shelby uniform and he is only a junior.
Yeah...I have to stand by my statement that this is one of the best defenses ever...if not the best ever.

Thanks he works real hard in the offseason. This team is going to be great if everyone stays together the pass kid is special he has a skill set and field awareness at the DB position that you just can't teach. Galloway is very smart and has a great arm look for him to be the starting QB on varsity his sophomore year along with Pass at the WR and DB position.
I have probably been to more rec games, middle school games , Jv games and varsity games in the past ten years then you have been!!!..matter of fact I coached most of the varsity players on this years team during there rec years in some capacity so honestly you can kiss my you know what...
