Realignment 2021?

There are some potential issues with a realignment after 2020.
1. Many districts are online to start the school year and are struggling with verifying attendance for ADM counts. These numbers could be messed up badly. State may have to wait until all schools are back on campus to get an accurate ADM number.
2. With the potential for more delays or shutdowns, some sports may not happen. Until the NCHSAA can solve all this mess it will be hard for them to tackle realignment.
3. Realignment comes with new schedules and scheduling is going to be an issue because of the above reasons. Many schools know where they will likely fall as far as being a 1A-4A. However, there are lots of schools right on the bubble for going up or down.
4. What model are they going to use this time, can they actually pull it off with sports going all the way into June of 21?
Just some food for thought. I was told by several AD's that no schedules or realignment action would be taken until this virus mess clears up. May get pushed back, may not. Lots of questions, uncertainty and little to no answers.
