Pisgah @ Brevard

9975, Hope #21 has those stats Friday night. Would love to see thone numbers in the rushing column too.

Yep, could see a few of the jvs get a little action as well since their season is over. Wouldn't surprise me in specific situations to see you know who on the field with Trey.

Good grief Mule, get off your soap box! We know that ALL conference games are equally important. Doesn't sound like (or look like it) to me based on the posts Ive seen in here. I dont think you need me to pull some of these posts about Tuscola that have shown up in other game threads, and show you. Instead, you need to ask yourselves this: What good is it to go 11-0 and lose in the first round of the playoffs while dwelling on games played yesterday last year and four years ago? This appears to be what has been happening based on the performance against two very average teams the last two weeks. You can call it a "soapbox" if you want. Truth is truth. Another truth: A Pisgah victory is not a sure thing this Friday, and a loss to Brevard will drop PHS to (possibly) ONE home playoff game, and a much tougher road. Pisgah players, coaches and fans (especially those in this site) would be well advised to focus on Brevard and not worry about Tuscola. If that game happens. (Which is more than unlikely) you will have plenty to worry about, but for now and to repeat: You are playing AT BREVARD.....Not Tuscola. Tuscola is playing AT FRANKLIN, not Pisgah. Replaying games of the past wont help either team.
This just proves how much you know about football.A Pisgah loss tonight will not change the seeding for the bears. They will still be the number two seed and will get at least two games at home if they win the first. If your mounties can beat Hibritten we will be at home in the third game .Would be nice to beat the mounties twice in one year.
I do understand that you can't stand the fact that the Bears beat your Mounties four years in a row.But you need to get use to it.

Yep! And I recall a certain classy ball player from Pisgah showing his butt and going into the stands years ago, like Brevard grad said,we all have bad fans and sometimes players at times period. You see this behavior from HS all the way to the pros and you're gonna judge our fan base over that?????

I agree dgheel57. The majority of fans are great, shouldn't lump all fans together based on the actions of a few bad fans. But some of those fans at the jv game were really, really bad. You could hear some of their comments from across the field.

Looks like Pisgah is going to lose. Congratulations to Brevard for a great comeback season. Don't see us going far in the playoffs with the last three defensive showings. Don't understand our sorry zone. I also don't get why our best qb doesn't get the start and move current qb to back, and one of our best receivers hasn't been playing up all year.

2-9 last year to 9-2 this year! Great job by the coaches and players! Biggest crowd Brevard has had in quite some time.

#35 for Pisgah was impressive.

I really haven't posted on here much but I have read this forum for years. The up the river specialist from Pisgah come on here and continually talk about beating Tuscola and I think that is wonderful for small minded people. Your support is a blind as a Hillary fan even when you have a coach who coaches for one game a year and then regresses the rest of the season, you still think he is Bobby Bowden. Tuscola has a coach who thinks anything less than a regional final is sub par. But that is expectations based on a proven commodity,(ie. done it before) where as your coach who acts like he has never been there before says things on TV like P stands for physical, Mill Tough, this game is still important on this end of the county and any other cliche' he can steal from Butch Jones. Seems your 'Mill Tough" defense has given up more yardage in three weeks than an Asheville School versus Shelby game. I am not mentioning you lose to a team Tuscola had 42 - 0 at halftime. You won the battle, but maybe you need to concentrate more on actually winning the war. But that is what an immature coach focuses on that has not found his way yet and he has a Jim Walter's fanbase that doesn't know any better and buys into this crap. Good luck in the first round against a spread option team from down the mountain when you can't cover a flea with a army blanket. But does it really matter, because you have won four in a row in a game that reallly doesn't matter in the big scheme of things anymore. It has been evident for years, that Waynesville is a changing demographic that has evolved while you are stuck in a 1970's that is no longer reality. I thought you were the most overrated 10-0 team in high school football history. I was wrong, you are the most overrated 10-1 team in high school history. Just the opinions of a neutral observer. Congrats to Brevard, glad to see you guys back.

I honestly thought Tuscola was the class of that conference all along, despite the loss to Pisgah. I know people from Pisgah will blast me for this, but it's my opinion. Maybe I'll be proved wrong in the playoffs, but either way, good luck to both team, and congrats to Brevard again!

Blackbear 95 sounds like a relative of the back up qb. He waits all season (besides the Tuscola game) to post and then picks the one loss to gripe about the quarterback.... we played terrible tonight. Two fumbles were brutal and the defense couldn't cause any turnovers. Is the middle of the field off limits in the passing game? All we seem to pass are short bubble screens, hitches, and the fade route. I trust in the coaches because they know the players better than anyone else but it is certainly perplexing! On another note, that qb from brevard is the best qb I've seen in Wnc this year bar none. He has a cannon and is extremely accurate! Are any schools looking at him?

He's getting some interest from schools but not like what you would think. He's gotten knocked for not being very mobile despite his size at 6'3.

It's been fun watching him develop each year but he moved well enough tonight... I think he would be a great fit for one of those SOCON or other FCS level teams

I'm glad he's graduating!!! Tore us apart. Hopefully Coach can get these boys back like they were the first half of the season during this bye week. According to Mr Reality he's Bobby Bowden so I think if anyone can right the ship it's him! I'd really like to see some more wrinkles in the offense. It seems like we've not added anything all year. I don't know if that's trying to keep it simple for a sophomore qb or if we just feel like we haven't needed to add anything. Defensively we are plagued with what tends to be our Achilles heel; pass defense. At this point in the year though it makes you wonder how much of the problem is scheme, and how much is kids just not executing like they were earlier in the year.

Not a relative of the backup qb. After watching multiple Pisgah JV games, and a couple of Tuscola JV games, it is pretty obvious that the best qbs for both teams started on the JV squads. If you are incapable of seeing that, you are obviously blind, or know nothing about football. The Pisgah JV quarterback is capable of throwing a more accurate ball, that spirals and turns over, and the receivers don't have to wait for it. He also made better decisions when pressured.

Tuscola's JV qb runs like a deer, and also has a better arm, and size to boot.

Yes, Pisgah's defense over the last 3 games got exposed. They played a very loose zone, and we are lucky we didn't lose the last four. I don't share your faith in the coaching staff, Albino, especially after watching Smoky run the same play, over and over, and no adjustments made during halftime to slow it down.

P.S. This isn't the only time I've posted this year, just the only game I've missed due to basketball, and had time to post. I've been on here for about 11 years. Don't recall your name being here that long ago.

Thanks for all the congrats,I'm just shocked we won to be honest. But ever since that beating from the Mounties, this has been a different team.Don't know how we'll do in the playoffs but,I'm very proud of this team and coaching staff....

Congratulation to Brevard ,good luck in the playoffs. In a game like this you can't make mistakes and we did and Brevard didn't .Congratulation to my bears 11-0 would have been great but 10-1 ain't bad.Hope number 4 is ready to play in two weeks ,we will need him.
Took some of our fair weather fans all year to show up,guess they were hoping we would lose one.
As for the Mountie crew funny how you think we really care what you guys think.

I sure hope YOU can get used to sharing a title you lost by dwelling on a game that happened three weeks ago and four YEARS ago. Kind of sucks a bit, doesn't it? Now, what was it about one game meaning MORE than another? But look at the bright side....You got taught a valuable lesson that is not the case in a 10-11 game season. Or did you? I have noticed an unhealthy obsession with beating one team while looking past others. You need to understand and accept that or PHS wont make it to a rematch with anybody.

You and the other mountie guys are the ones that seems obsessed with the Bears winning .Since you keep bringing it up.
Noticed you never mention a word about the seeding in the playoffs. So evidently you learned something from my other post.I never said they would make it to another rematch .Just said what had to happen.
