Pender dropped another one Friday. They are 1-7.

Meanwhile at Richlands is was the 42 nd game between SWO and Richlands. Pre-game said Richlands will put everybody on Jordan, they wont let him beat them. They did, and Well ....didnt turn out to well. They did keep him from breaking BIG ones but he still got 229 yards and 3TDs. While they were busy with Jordan, Thomas the QB ran for over 100 and Dugan finished off good runs by Jordan for 2 TDs. Dugan was a load as he carried Richland tacklers almost every time they grabbed on to him. We fumbled inside the Wildcat 5, had a TD pass knocked out. and dropped a pitch out that he could have walked in. But that is how it goes with Richlands. Still notched #31 in a row with a shutout. Richlands had one decent drive that went to the SWO 15. The Orange Crush Defense clamped down and blocked a 4th down FG try.

This game at the Corral will take back seat to the big match up between WRH and Clinton for a lot in the area. It will be mostly for the Stallion Faithful, including me.

Game moved to Thursday brother

Looks like most all of Coastal 8 teams have moved to Thursday. SWO is leading the conference at 4-0. Looks like 2nd place is up for grabs between East Carteret, Trask, and Croatan. Richlands will have to win out and hope for loses for the other 3. The Wildcats have East Carteret Thursday, and Trask plays Croatan. So second place could tighten up.

Theme of this game is "Pound Pender". Doing most of the damage will be Senior B.J. Jordan. He comes in with an area-best 1,431 yards rushing and 20 touchdowns. He averages 11.5 yards per carry. With just 3 more regular season games he has a real good chance of going over 2000 yards before the playoffs. He didnt play the first game of the season. And considering he only played a half in all but 2 or three games, Aint To Bad !!

So far in conference play the Orange Crush Defense has only allowed "9" total points with 3 shut outs. I look for the Big Orange to roll another goose egg Thursday night.
