Ledford just overmatched. Their poor offense. Worst I’ve seen this late in the playoffs ever. Just extremely limited play calling, scheme and personnel. Their defense is solid though. 3 Ledford turnovers out that defense in a hole. North is a big, physical team that just wears on you. Congrats to both teams. North marches on to Raleigh. Good luck to the black knights.

North has a good defense but they don’t have great team speed on the edges. Great size but not overwhelming team speed. I’m talking in just how limited Ledford is from a play calling, scheme, formation aspect. Ledford offense hasn’t been great against anybody. Hell last week, special teams and defense scored all but 1 of the touchdowns. Just little league read option all night with a slant mixed in off the read. I think Ledford coaches got the absolute most out of their team and should be commended because that’s one of the weaker looking teams to make it this far in a long time.

I respect that, we will see against Shelby, they seem to have the speed to get around the corners....

Should be a battle. If north can contain Shelby’s athletes especially in the passing game, I like their chances. North has to establish the run a bit more against Shelby to win it all.

I agree with this statement. It made it really easy to go for it on 4th down at mid-field... knowing that Ledford’s offense is so limited. With 7 minutes left, and they’re still coming out of the huddle... No way that team can come from behind.

I’m hoping to get some info on how many people were there. I’m going to guess 5000, but that is a very uneducated guess.

Whomever the Announcer in the press box was... It makes me miss their former person. He was terrible. He asked for a moment of silence for “George HERMAN Walker Bush”... terrible. Plus, I am not a fan of any team that plays music and sound effects while the visiting is on the line of scrimmage.

I’d guess there was probably closer to 4K but wouldn’t be surprised if it got to 5k. Great atmosphere for high school football, especially in Davidson county which isn’t traditionally known for its football. You could tell pretty early that Ledford didn’t have the juice to stay with north.
