Both Rams teams are running in all 8 cylinders. Havelock just got more players. Reidsville win 2a and I might be giving MH to much credit. That's what Rams fans want to hear. Doesn't sound good coming from self tho.
So, Wiz, if you are a poker player and the largest pot of the night is on the table,
Do you raise the bet hoping to draw three cards to fill a royal straight flush and win?
Just curious because it seems that's the kind of gambler you are on picking point spreads on high school football games. Sure, Mountain Heritage could dominate the game with ball control and no turnovers and win Saturday but the computers make them nearly a four touchdown underdog, the biggest underdog of all of the teams playing for a state championship. And how often do teams that are that big of an underdog win???
WRH and NE are the only good teams Reidsvilke playedThe other games any number of teams would have walked through that schedule, that being said they did beat WRH and NE

I have no dudsdain fir Reidsvilke. I consider myself friends with some of Rams fans. Heck I was born in Leaksville and grew up in Burlington. I generally pull for the Rams. I’m just saying what my opinion is The Rams schedule is pitiful (they have to play in that conference so not their fault) and though the Rams are really good I’ve seen a few better Rams teams.
Know very little about poker, never care for it, I do play and love pinochle. If you understand that game I’ll be glad to describe my strategy , it’s generally conservative nit trying to hit the hone run so to speak ; I play it a lot online with some excellent players, it’s a partnership games and you have to be able to adapt to someone’s game strategy possibly unlike your iwn

I know you don't Wiz, but those computers are right about 85% of the time. And I am maybe a little more than 60% with my personal predictions so I have the greatest respect for the work Brian Simmons, CalPreps, and Massey do with their computer algorithms. As the old sayings go, "Don't bet against the House" - and those computers are the biggest House out there.

What some of you non Triad residents may not realize is that the Play the Reidsville Rams In A Non Conference Tilt line is about as long as the Kiss A Goat's Ass line at the State Fair. If you think you'd care to play Reidsville in a non conference endeavor, get your AD to call them. Problem solved and then perhaps you can find another issue to bitch and moan about. When Northern Guilford was winning four 'Ships in five years, Reidsville played 'em. Reidsville has always been willing to play whomever, and back in the day, Thomasville would , too.

Every one of those computer programs that you so much disdain say this years Rams team is the best team they have ever fielded.

If you are talking about 2017 you may not have gotten that 2 point conversion either. WRH had the team to hang with you that year. That was as good a football game as I have ever been too.
And Reidsville made them look really bad. Those 2 games I went to and the thing that stood out to me is Reidsville don't make mistakes. And if you make a mistake they make you pay. Once they get you on the ropes they can score in bunches. I would not bet against them. In fact I will take Reidsville and give you 10 points for 100.00. we can meet at ribeyes in Clinton sometime and eat a steak and settle up. I think Reidsville is that good. I'm not betting anyone else so don't ask.

This is true, we’ve played most of the triad teams. The only game that hasn’t happened is the Dudley game that I want. Other then that we played next to everyone.
Also wiz,east surry beat north Davidson, who almost made states
it would have been a good matchup I assure you. I dont care what the computers say; comparing scores etc; the game is about matchups and the Horses would have matched up well. Maybe Calpreps, and Brian Simmons and Massey do do well but I dont know what kined of computer algorithms MaxPreps uses. Their polls in any sport make absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. There cant be any this mathematic or scientific about their polls, I don't care how large they are. As far as polls go I think NCPresps was about as accurate as any of the others. The human equation HAS to fit in there somewhere.
Otis, I'm not crazy; I predicted a MH win; I'm say thats a possibility. Alot of things will have to go right for them but from what I saw last Friday other then some illegal procedure penalties, that could happen. If we were betting m money, I'd have to have more than 10 points. I'm going to watch the game because the other game same time doesnt interest me, but the games that will be games I want to see; Charlotte Catholic vs Havelock; rematch to East Surry vs Tarboro (Tarboro will not be merciful on them) I just doubt know about the 2AA game, no disrespect but I question whether either team could have competed in the 2A bracket, may be wrong I just dont know much about either team, so maybe I should take that back commenting about something I dont know about.

No fire. I think the world of Wiz but I know how solid Reidsville is. WRH may not be as strong as years past but they are still a good team and well coached. But you saw the result. I just don't think anyone is beating them.
No. First time in a long time I miss State Championship games. I'm helping my daughter and wife put up a pool Friday and Saturday. Something I don't care about at all.

Wiz....Heritage definitely deserves to be there with quality wins over a tough Mt Pleasant team that beat a “scrappy as they come” West Lincoln and an inspired Hendersonville team who believed enough in themselves to send the multi defending “State Champion” Shelby Golden Lions home with a heart breaking loss!
Heritage knows what they’re up against...EVERYBODY does!...Appalachian St. knew when they rolled into Michigan.
Here’s one... that most people have forgotten....Rosman knew what they were up against!... when they rolled into undefeated # 1 seed Cummings in ‘98.....same year that 16 seed North Edgecombe went to the Championship game.
Wiz knows Heritage has a mountain in front of them before they head down to Chapel Hill.....and it ain’t Reidsville....it’s overcoming doubt and failure to believe in themselves....despite the overwhelming odds!
Polls and math says Reidsville wins big....but that Heritage locker room can’t believe that!....not for a moment... or it’s over before it starts!
I have watched most of these boys play together since they were in 2nd grade, especially the seniors and some of the juniors. They have never walked on to a football field thinking they don't have a shot at winning. Saturday will be no different.
