Side note: Anyone remember when someone tried to give directions to North Stokes a couple years ago? What a joke of a thread that was. Anyways, carry on with what directions are best to the almighty town of Robbinsville.

It may actually be best to helicopter and parachute in now that I think about it.

I looked on my Google maps and is Sweet Water Road the main road into Robbinsville? I saw the red and yellow dots on road for construction work? I been out the 129 and that was a pretty drive and nice road. I met some people out that road visiting. Super nice people!! A man who had a giant blue berry orchard in a field behind his home and shop. The other man was a retired DNR officer. They had married sisters is how I met them. They was some of the nicest people I ever met. Tim played ball for Robbinsville and was who told me about the history of the place originally. I just fell in love with the place in one visit. Been a fan and follower ever since.

I would love to! I honestly just love it down there and the people I met! I never saw such a winning attitude and such clean cut humble kids in my life?!
My mom is not doing very well at the moment and that is one of the main reasons I never made it down for the SMC conference championship with Swain. It’s been one thing after another with her health. She is 82 and lived a good healthy life up until this last year. So we are thankful for that. When life settles down I would love to get down there and meet all of you and go to my Grandpa’s home place in the Cataloochee Valley before the park services got the land.

I sure appreciate that and many thanks! I am afraid we are gonna be needing them too, so I sure appreciate it brother! I tell ya no matter the school or area you guys on here are all a class act and passionate about your teams!! I am proud to have North Carolina roots in my family tree and found this site! So coming from a small Single A school in WV the size of Robbinsville I am sure partial to the SMC! Just felt like home the one time I was there!

The small school class pretty much goes through the LKC (little Kanawaha Conference) at least one member is in the championship game every year. As bad as I hate to admit it one of our rivals Williamstown has pretty much turned into the ‘Robbinsville’ of our conference. I don’t know how they do it but they win year after year and more then not go to championship game or at least semis every year. There are other really good single A schools around the state as well. But seems like this little LKC has really dominated the last 15 years or so?

May have to come watch a game up there. I’d like to take a vacation up to WV sometime. Always kinda wanted to visit.

lol you used Asheville weather forecast. I’ve seen it sunny and almost 50 off the mountain and it be in the 20s and snowing like crazy in Avery Co
