Mack is Back Part 2

Guys just start pulling for the Vols. Friday hopefully started a great weekend after seeing Morgan Wallen in Neyland last night. What a great show. UNC fan Eric Church even showed up for a song

Mack gets paid for next three years. Who will be next coach
JMU coach was hot there for a second but I think they has died down a little. Tulane coach can probably get a bigger job but he’ll get a shot to turn the job down. The recruiting class for 2025 is hot garbage but the new coach has a chance to field a decent squad in 2025 with the portal.

They gave him that opportunity and he said no, thus, he got canned, per reports.
I still find it hard to believe that you can't come to an agreement on a better ending?

Announce Saturday is your last game and we pay out your buyout, build you a statue....have a special Mack is Back day?? Whatever. This just feels ugly and wonder if it doesn't give the next hot coach pause on coming .

Mack is a stubborn old dog, just like he was at Texas. When the donors and rams club want something, they get it. I’d be shocked if they got a hot coach and fully expect them to go after someone like Dan Mullen.

I think Mullen could work. Probably pretty expensive though.

I love that UNLV offense and think Odom would be fun.

I wonder if they would consider a run at Brett Bielama. I think he has gone about as far as he can go at Illinois.

Tommy Rees would certainly be a young dynamic choice.

I suspect that most recruits will decommit, at least until they see who the new coach is. The 2025 class will be a disaster. To be at all competitive, the new staff will have to hit the portal hard.

The 2025 class was a disaster before Mack's firing. The new coach can salvage something and hit the portal

According to tonight’s news, he is visiting Penn State and possibly LSU.
Part of a 247 article

"Bryce remains 100% committed to UNC and hopes his future college football days will be spent in Chapel Hill," Baker's father, Mike, told Callahan. "He has a great relationship with coach Chip Lindsey who he hopes will be on the coaching staff of the new incoming head coach and who has been an incredible mentor, regardless of the uncertainty surrounding his status following coach Brown's departure.

"That said, Bryce may explore visits to other universities to ensure he has options, just in case the new coaching staff does not have him in their plans. [We have a] Penn State visit this weekend with a possible LSU visit later.

"However again he's 100% committed to Carolina. He just wants option just in case the new coaching staff has different plans at the QB position."

Dad’s either a very media savvy guy, or had some help on that quote. In other words, keep Lindsey or we’re gone.
