Mack is Back Part 2

I have been to Madison in November. Bit tough to be swinging it around but always doable. I understand friendship but I figured Fickell would have a lot of options. Pretty much the staff will get two to three years there which is nice for an assistant and their family.
Absolutely, there is a reason they like to pound it behind those big Olines up there.

Are you Heel fans surprised by this.
Not one bit. Way overrated and unfortunately just never panned out. Showed flashes his freshman year in a couple of games, but unfortunately he just got worse each season. This season was especially bad - after his concussion earlier in the year he just wasn't interested in being physical anymore. Add on top of that he basically just sat out the NC State game for no good reason and only logging 4 snaps vs. Clemson - writing was on the wall for weeks.

With Phil Longo leaving for Wisconsin who would be a good OC Mack could go after.
Seth Littrell is looking for work - Former UNC OC during the Fedora years - put up great numbers.

Garrett Riley from TCU would be an absolute HR hire, although pretty unrealistic.

Kevin Johns - Duke OC

Graham Harrell - WVU OC

I would almost bet that Seth Littrell would get the first look since he has previously worked along with Chizik.

North Carolina have hired Chip Lindsey from UCF as offense coordinator.

Good or Bad.

Good numbers where he’s been but wasn’t always calling plays. Seems to be well respected. This offense is always going to put up good numbers, just need to be better in the red zone.

I find it fascinating when guys like Narduzzi think its a sad, sad deal but these guys sign lucrative deals every day. Who's more valuable to a brand right now?? Drake Maye or Pat Narduzzi??
Got remember Narduzzi lost his best player last year to NIL to USC so he is going to cry about NIL. Collectives are going to get 3rd party person to talk to these players. It will be really hard for a coach to get caught. If a coach does get caught he is a really dumb coach then. All these players know each other they are going to talk to each other.

I like what Jalin Hyatt did when he signed a NIL with Hyatt Hotels. Part of his NIL was a gift credit for his teammates families for the Orange Bowl for them to stay at a Hyatt motel in Miami.

I also liked what Sam Howell did with his. A roofing company got him in a commercial and he was able to get his OL included.

Did a good job against him in the East Final. Only had 4 catches for 53 yards.
He did have a 90 yard return for a TD. Noticed the QB spread the ball around in the game so guessing New Bern game plan was to Leacock away. I bet your DL had a good pass rush if the QB was 18-44 throwing

Yea NB gave up a return for a TD against Millbrook, Rolesville and Grimsley. We didn't give any special attention to Leacock, just played him physical. The best DL in the state put some pressure on the Millbrook QB, for sure.

The specifics are rumors. But there are too many coaches talking about poaching for it not to be factual.
I understand they are poaching. $5 million? Consider me skeptical. If he stayed and had a legit 5 million on the table he is not very bright. Also wonder how many of these rumors are driven by their own HC's putting pressure on their alumni base to pony up.

Money can't buy ya love! The Maye's have plenty of money and UNC is taking care of him. Credit to him for wanting to end his career with the team he grew up idolizing and following in his dad and brothers' footsteps.

I think one thing we are missing is how much money is he getting from the NIL now or next seasonat UNC? He will be a Heisman favorite this season. I would think there are alumni that own and run fairly large companies that are involved.

UNC hosted two title games. UNC coaches are not allowed to watch the game or be in the stadium. A few years a coach had to get special permission to watch his nephew play in a state title game. Same for NC State.

While the NCAA is pushing that they are allowing NIL. I am all for NIL although it needs tweeks but at the same time lets get rid of the stupidity.

They have a ton of money. I have no idea how much goes to football. Last time I checked in the Chapel Hill NIL Club, it didn't look like much.
