Nope, didn't go see PG tonight. That's how much I hate conference re-matches.

Trinity defeated Lex tonight 56-47. Lexington played a pretty good game. For most of the game, they definitely had the pace they wanted. The Yellow Jacket quickness really bothered Trinity. However, they just couldn't quite catch up to the Bulldogs.

Trinity led by nine at the half. Twice in the second half, the Jackets cut the lead to three. Every time they would get close to passing Trinity, they would make a mistake or commit a turnover and Trinity would convert it into a bucket.

Lexington also had no answer for Trinity's Dominic Payne. Payne was just too strong for the Jacket guards. Lexington did get a break when Payne had to go to the bench after he committed his fourth foul late in the third. They made a run but Trace Moffitt came alive and picked up the slack for Trinity.

The Jackets also missed a ton of shots inside.

Matthew Lyles did play a good game for Lexington. The Jackets just needed a little more size and experience.

Lexington’s athleticism did cause a lot of problems. Trinity was sloppy and more sloppy on offense
