The next head coach of Hendersonville should be the guy who is a position coach at Erwin High School. Anybody that has followed this program knows who I'm talking about. I don't know if he wants it or not but he should be at least in the discussion.
I would love that fit!! He deserves a shot! That would help with any kids wanting to leave
I really don't think the guy wants to be a head coach, from what I've heard he's turned down a couple. Could be all rumors but sometimes those things are true. Well at least in one way or another.
Only rumors I have heard is the head guy from Pisgah. If they want to keep players they need to hire that man from East or one of the young guys from asheville school if they hire anyone else kids will be gone

Isn't that what your representative from Tuscola told the school board a couple weeks ago?..We just wanna win too..If rumor of change is true, new coach may go from being a Bear to being a Bearcat. I agree, he came to mind because of his success at east henderson and his ties to the community of henderson county. Which is why I think he will get the job, the best person for the job in my opinion is the hometown hero who is over at east henderson right now
Logically speaking, I would have to imagine that they are going to look in house first. There are most likely candidates on the staff that probably will get a shot before any of these names yall are throwing out. It makes the most sense. They're already there. From my understanding they have coaches that have been on staff for years. If none of those guys want it then I think they look outside.
I'm not sure there were a lot of HC candidates on staff from what I have heard, one for sure. Would not be surprised if old DC came back who went over to erwin
Again, going back to my original statement, it makes me wonder how some of you guys know so much about the inner workings of these teams and schools to the point where you know who is, isn't a candidate.
Who cares, Hendersonville will be the same. Slow Mnt team who won't win shit...... Could bring in Andy Reid and wouldn't win anything.

Sounds like somebody that's never seen Hendersonville play. You do realize over half their team was black right? They don't have mountain demographics, more in line with Asheville or piedmont schools.

Hendersonville had more team speed than 95% of teams in ENC or the Piedmont. Yea, I said it.
Don't agree. Brett had one of the primer programs in WNC when he was at East. He had more pure athletes at East than he has ever had at Pisgah. Michael Angram was one of the the best RB WNC has ever seen, if not the best. He's still WNC's all time leading rusher. Michael Robinson and Shack Davis were both 2,000 yard backs and played college football. Angram could have played anywhere he wanted if it weren't for grades and is now serving 11yrs in prison for a bank robbery in Hendersonville in 2018.
Brett had all three back to back to back over his 8yrs there, and won 67 games and 4 conference championships. He would do really well at Hendersonville.

I bet you Brett has had better defenses at Pisgah. East gave up alot of points then. Robbinsville play East in 2012. Robbinsville was a sophomore heavy team and kelp it within a touchdown until the end. Score was

One game out of an 8yr tenure does not define his defenses. In 2005 his teams only gave up 15ppg, by comparison his best unit at Pisgah was 13ppg. 2010 it was 19ppg. Most at seasons at East were around 20-21ppg, but he also had high power offenses. These numbers need context.
On an interesting note, he went 5-3 against Pisgah in his years at East.
I remember he led a East win against a loaded Hendersonville team back in 2012 season. The game was standing room only
