Appreciate Havelock coach Brent Wooten and Tarboro coach Jeff Craddock for joining us on the Paper Boys podcast to preview their nonconference matchup on Thursday.
Great interview. You can tell both coaching staffs have a ton of respect for each other. And are friends as well.
Both are coaching for the right reasons.
And Craddock is a hoot and a half.
That’s right. It was 16-12 late in the 3rd. Then havelock returned a kickoff for a TD and then on their next drive scored on a long run after a missed tackle.
The thing most folks forget about Tarboro is against quality opposition, that offense is designed to eat up the clock and shorten the game. It so rare that the Vikings go into a game as an underdog. I hope our guys relish that role and will rise to the challenge. As strong as Tarboro is defensively, this could be a very low scoring game. Four quarters of 100% effort is required.
